1979 Range Rover

Basically this is a fairly complete unmolested vehicle with the original engine and is still driveable so I think it would be a fairly straightforward resto. The fibreglass hood lining is a bonus as the original cardboard ones soon disintergrated. The dash is starting to break up in places but can still be rescued. There is spare inlet manifold that comes with the project, which could be used to adapt an alternative carburetor as the original CD Strombergs arent the best carbys around. The centre diff lock is still working, but the Boge self-levelling strut is US. I think that a modern airbag system could replace this unit if you wanted a self levelling function. The brakes will need some work and the suspension needs to be checked. I did replace many of the rubber bushes and the shockies although this was some time ago now. Alternative springs and an additional spare wheel are included plus other sundry spares.
The air conditioner is not working and the compressor has been removed. A new one will be required anyway.
I believe that I am the third owner and the previous owner had spent a considerable sum doing the motor up with new pistons, valves, big end and main bearings, so the motor runs quite well.
I am really into restoring old motorcycles rather than cars and would rather see it go to a good home rather than sitting around deteriorating further.
