Description

This car is only being sold due to a change of lifestyle - I bought a 4WD last year, so the WRX has probably seen less than 1000 km over the past 12 months. It's time to move it on to a home where it gets driven and enjoyed.
The car would be a very good match for an enthusiast who has plans for further performance modifications.
I am the third owner. The car was completely stock when I took possession of it. It has a comprehensive service history, and a large collection of receipts for parts and accessories. Lots of subtle aesthetic mods make it very unique - Lots of effort went into making the car look as sleek and clean as it does.
It has been driven 'enthusiastically', but never abused. Never clutch dumped, never broken traction (except accidentally in the rain a few times - scary!), and has never been mistreated in general. The car has always been respected, and cared for accordingly. The very few bad points about this vehicle are minor in nature. I could be a true car salesman and pretend it is 'perfect', but I'd rather be honest with the sale, in the hope that I get an honest buyer.
I encourage inspections prior to bidding, which can be arranged in Macquarie Park, NSW.
The vehicle is also listed elsewhere, so I reserve the right to remove this listing at any time without notice.
Inquiries from offshore will be ignored. Low ballers will be ignored. Car will only be sold in person to the legal buyer. Scammers: I know your tricks - Don't waste my time or yours. ;-)

THE BAD
Most of the points below are simply due to the car not being driven often enough. I've tried to give as much detail as possible.
• The clutch has a light squeak when it is pressed. My mechanic has looked at it, and said it’s due to the car being garaged for long periods between drives. He advised it isn't worth looking at until the clutch needs replacing. The clutch has plenty of life left, so it has been uneconomical to fix the squeak.
• Some of the custom lighting that illuminates the switches and instruments has discoloured. Some of the small coloured LED's have failed. All of the red lighting works perfectly. I always leave it on red, as it matches the gauge cluster, so have not bothered to fix it.
• There is a mild knocking noise from the front driver’s side when the steering is at full lock, and the car is going up an incline. The noise is very hard to replicate on demand. My mechanic has advised that all CV’s are fine, and the noise is most likely caused by the anti-lift or anti-roll kit.
• There is a small cut in the carpet side panel of the boot, and the cover for the jack is missing. This was from the stereo that I had installed. It doesn't affect anything other than the appearance of the cargo area.
• The sunroof switch is a bit touchy. It has been like that the whole time I've owned the car, and the condition of the switch has remained stable.
