RARE TOYOTA LANDCRUISER FJ40 FJ 40 LAND CRUISER 1978 ORIGINAL barn 4WD FIND

This 1978 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser is as stock as I'm able to keep itwith 94k original miles. I bought it off the previous owner who ownedthis TLC for about 30 years.It spent much of its life in Utah whereclimate is dry. It has never been used for rock-crawling.
The emission system has not been tampered with and is all original.Mileage shown is believed to be actual as the odometer has never beeninoperative during the time-period of our ownership, but mileage mayincrease from that pictured.
The original owner's manual, jack, and tire tools and their pouch areincluded. All mechanical and electrical items function including lights,horn, wipers, radio, turn signals, window cranks, door latches andlocks. I have the original keys for doors, ignition, gas cap door andrear door.
Repairs, which have been rare, are made using original Toyota parts andgenerally accomplished by a Toyota dealership. It has manually lockingfront hubs. The transfer case has high and low speeds, and the 4-speedtransmission easily up-shifts and down-shifts. We have never used it fortowing but does have a hitch. It is extremely reliable and has never let us down a singletime.
It has the original 6-cylinder engine and boosted disc brakes. It has nopower accessories, air conditioning, cruise control, sound insulation,etc. It has a rear-seat area heater.
The paint is original except for professionally repaired and paintedrust spots on the front fenders, rear quarter panels and beneath therear door. Some small rust spots appear on the inside right rear fender,where steps join the body and on hood latches. The pan and frame showvery little rust considering the vehicle's age, but springs, hubs andshackle area do show surface rust. The skid plates show no sign of everbeing in contact with hard objects. No rust is seen thataffects structural integrity.

It has never been in an accident. An inch-long crack is in the vinyldash. ACB antenna is installed on the rear. Rear speakers are installed but arelow-tech by today's standards. Original vinyl seat covers are on theseats. The tires are brand new BF Goodrich that were $200 each. I alsojust installed brand new Bilstein shocks.

There is no leaks on anything on this cruiser. It starts when cold withhalf-choke; it idles nicely and doesn't hesitate when accelerating.I just put a new clutch and water pump within the last month.
The vehicle is kept garaged but is 34-years old and has expected age-related minor flaws, all of which are not listed here.
