Description
For sale is a completely restored 1972 Volkswagen Beetle. Restoration took place about 4 years ago and has been meticulously maintained since completion. It has always been garage kept and under a cover. The odometer reads just under 73k miles and is believed to be the original milage.
The exterior of this car is in great shape with no body damage or dents. The paint is near perfect aside from an inevitable, very small rock chip here and there. The underside of the car has absolutely no rust. It is never driven in the snow or rain. The battery tray is rust free as well. All chrome is like new. All windows roll up and down as they should. The top was hand made specifically for this car and it is perfect. There are no wrinkles or imperfections, it fits like a glove.
The interior of the car was very well done. There are no rips or abrasions in the upholstery. The front seats fold up smoothly for back seat access. The headliner is tight and very clean with no stains or marks. The carpet is in great shape. There is one very small crack in the dash above the glove box on the left. Aside from that the dash is perfect. It still has the original working radio. A Bose sound system was installed to deliver a more modern sound to the car. It is separate from the original radio and can be easily deinstalled if someone were to chose to revert to completely original. All of the electronics work in the car, turn signals, windshield wipers, emergency lights, headlights, brights, ect. The convertible boot is also included and it is like new. It was handmade along with the top.
Mechanically it is in great shape. It starts up every time with no hesitation or strange noises. You can take this car to highway speeds smoothly with no shimmer or shake. It shifts smoothly into every gear including reverse. The drum brakes work perfectly. All tires are like new. There are no leaks.
