Description

Golf MK2 VR6
Absolute monster of a car..currently this is SORN and not MOT'd I will go and get an MOT later this week, and I have no reason that it won't pass again, as I've only done a few thousand miles in it over the last couple of years.
This car started life as a standard 1600 carb engine..due to some garage negligence this engine died (they overheated it after not bleeding the coolant properly) this left me with a perfectly good MK2 shell and a dead engine. At this point I decided to dump the 2.8 VR6 lump out of the mk3 in.this is including the subframe, brakes and ABS system.
The car is sat on MK3 coil overs and currently has the mk3 standard 5x100 stud pattern. There is a custom magnet exhaust and mk3 vr6 cloth interior.
The mileage of the car will rise only slightly as I will only take it to the MOT station and then home, so it's barely going to rise.
There is no stereo fitted, however the wiring is there, but no speakers. Once you hear the engine you realise there is no need for music in this car!
The car is still registered as a 1600 on the log book, it is up to the new owner whether they want to transfer the engine size, I didn't as it would add another owner to the logbook.
There are a few headlining parts in the boot unfitted, sun visors and the like which I never got around to refitting.
If anyone wants my number of postcode send me a message and I'll give it out to you.

Good points
Super strong engine.
Recent blow over respray (2014) however, it was just a blow over and the are patches of trouble beginning to show.
Mk3 adjustable coilovers.
Possibly rare BBS alloys..not sure what they came off!
Not so good points
The car needs new top mounts (currently fitted with MK3 and it needs MK2) slight knock over bumps.
Sunroof doesn't work and missing headlining
There is a constant light on the dash when ignition off (battery light and oil light) I do not know why! This maybe a simple fix for someone.
The best thing to do here is come and have a look, the car needs some work and I'm not trying to hide anything in the listing. There are number of small faults which someone with more time and knowledge I'm sure could fix. I just do not have the time now..but starting it up and moving it around to take pics has just made me fall in love with it again.
This is my own car and the V5C is in my name, I have loads of paper work for this car and it really has been loved.I just don't have the love for her any more. This will make an AMAZING summer car for someone.
As with all cars, I'm sure there is stuff I've forgotten.
Small print stuff.
This is my car. I am not a car trader. This is the third car I have sold this month, but one was my fathers, one my uncles and one mine. There is no warranty given or implied, this is a private sale. It will be sold by me, from my drive where the car is registered. I see this car as full road going, however, it needs some work to make it perfect. The car will be sold without tax as per new laws. Test drives will be available (to a degree due to being SORN) but I will not have test pilots.this is a fast road car and I will only let you drive it with proof of insurance, otherwise I will be driving you. Payment by cash on collection, or worst way PayPal or bank transfers but I will not be letting the car go without being fully paid for. The price you bid is the price you pay..not to come here and kick the tyres. The auction is a week long, there is plenty of time get over and have a look.
Thanks for reading this massive essay! Good luck and happy bidding! Any questions, offers, or anything send me a message.
Cheers, Phil
