The Vehicle History :1967 - 2000 Original purchase from Foreign Cars of Belmont Inc.Belmont MA. April 3rd, 1967 The original owner was Billy E. Goetz, an engineer at Los Alamos, NM. He knew how to care for it, kept it in a garage during winters and did all his own maintenance.
2000 Second owner was Richard C. Lindberg, a buyer & seller who cleaned it up, did some minor maintenance, advertised it online, and turned it around in less than 6 months.
2000-2019 Third owner was Daniel A. Heim. It's been driven as needed, stored in a garage pending restoration, and still runs like a charm. On first inspection, Heim's mechanic, who's worked on VW's his entire career, said it was the best shape he'd ever seen for a car of that vintage. This model was the first of the 12 volt systems, so parts are still readily available. You'll see the owners manual provides specs for both 6 & 12 volt models, as 1967 was VW's transition year. Heim restored the car in 2016-2019.
