Description

After 18 VERY fun years, I've decided to let this car go. I made a promise to my Wife that I would sell it. It's been sitting in my garage, and my significant other would like to park there.
Some might recognize this car. It was raced at many Import vs domestic shoot outs up and down the east coast. This car was raced against a lot of import legends back in the day, that went on to set world records drag racing.
I have spent well over $30,000 in modifications to this car over the years, and fully expected to never get any of that back. It was all for the rush you get when you see the headlights in your rear view.
I am the second owner of this car. The first owner only had it for two years. It has been professionally built, and maintained by myself(certified technician), Jim Justice, and Joe Simpson(Tempest Racing).
So lets get to the brass tacks on this sweet racer. Since its days spent on the race track as a supercharged/n20 terror. It has been rebuilt and turbo charged. It also has a 75 shot zex wet nitrous kit installed. It would just need hooked back up. This new motor has never had nitrous sprayed in it. The n20 kit is from a previous setup, but is still functional if you wanted even more power. The engine is out of a 98 gsr I bought from a friend. It had 28k miles on it at the time. Since then, it has been fully built by Jim Justice Race Engines. Check him out online, he has built countless record setting Honda, and Toyota race engines. There is less than 2,000 miles on this build, and was never entered into competition. It has just finished break in, and is now running Amsoil turbo synthetic race oil. Compression is even across all fours. Valves have been adjusted, and it doesn't burn a DROP of oil!!!! For anyone that knows, that's hard to find on stock Hondas! The transmission was replaced entirely about 12k miles ago, and the clutch 500 miles ago. and the axles are stock.(had the best luck with stock axles :)
After the engine was broken in properly, I had Joe Simpson of Tempest Racing Dyno tune it. It made 480 whp, and 400ft/lbs tq @18 psi on pump gas. At that power level, in a car that only weighs 2400lbs, on slicks, 10.5 second quarter miles at well over 130 mph is common. I did do a test and tune with it @ 14psi (no nitrous) on radials, and managed mid 11's at 128 mph.granny shifting. I lowered the boost to 14 psi(as low as the wastegate spring allows) since the last tune to make it more streetable. After running the 11 second pass at cecil county dragway it never saw the strip again. Its just been napping in my garage waiting for someone to take it to the next level it deserves. This Engine is a GEM!!!! Gosh, as I write this my adrenaline is pumping! I really don't want to sell it, but it's time. I just hope that whoever buys this will appreciate what they have. YOU DONT FIND EM LIKE THIS TOO OFTEN.
I shaved all the emblems, and custom painted the car with Diamont's chrome illusion paint a few years back. It changes from purple to bright green to copper depending on light conditions. Its pretty cool. The front bumper, and headlamps are from a 2000integra dc2. I also did a custom valve cover in the same paint, with brushed aluminum, and then clear coated many times. You could eat off of this engine. I cleaned up, and tucked what I could in the engine bay, and then painted it satin black

I would not recommend this car to someone as their first car, or who doesnt know their way around an engine bay. It's not a great daily driver in its current state. I would recommend getting it retuned at around 6 psi, and maybe putting in a milder clutch to make it more comfortable. I have not had it tagged and insured for a couple years now because it wouldnt pass emissions, and I honestly have been busy with the house and Family. I look at this as basically a motor sale. This thing can easily handle 700+whp. The rest of the car is just a bonus. I have driven it around the neighborhood regularly over the past couple years just to keep things moving. It has brand new ngk bkre7's, and fresh fuel in it.
I would prefer to sell this to someone in driving distance, and who has a trailer, because I have so many spare parts. I wouldnt want to try to throw everything inside the car!
I reserve the right to end the auction early due to local interest.
