Description
This factory built Alfa Giulia GTC RHD Cabriolet was built in 1965 and delivered new to Alec Mildren Motors in Sydney. Over the last 10 yrs it has undergone a 100 point concourso style restoration.
The major mechanical components were rebuilt by McKone Automotive.
The body, assembly and detail work was completed by Tim at Zoo Autocraft.
The interior and motor trimming work was carried out by Bruce Hall.
Finished in it original AR501 Alfa Rosso with black leather interior this beautiful machine rides on Michelin 155s controlled by Classic Koni Reds and pulls up using ATE brakes fitted with Ferodo 2500 pads.
All other aspects of the car are as per original original including its matching tipo 502 engine.
Every component of the vehicle has been attended to and hence the car looks and drives beautifully . tight smooth and reliable.
Run on club plates since the completion of the restoration 3 years ago, it has been used on a number of club display and touring events including Sydney Alfa Concourso, Auto Italia in Canberra and the Melbourne Mille.
Consistent with this light use there are some minor stone chips around the front of the car. Otherwise the car is presented in a highly restored condition.
It runs flawlessly. Lighter than GTV's it is a pleasure to drive, being fast on the open roads and agile in the twisty bits.
GTCs were built for Alfa by Carozzerie Touring and of a 1000 built, only 99 were made in RHD. It is estimated that only 4 or 5 reside in Australia.
A rare car in both Australia and worldwide, this GTC is a truly wonderful piece of Alfa automotive history
The car is garaged in Bowral NSW and inspections and queries welcome.
Currently registered on club plates which are not transferable.
Shipping in Australia and worldwide can be arranged.
