Description
Just in time for Spring - this 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider looks sharp and drives great! Super low original miles. Brand new top, break booster, brake/clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, high grade air hose upgrade, new fuel filters, gas tank, engine mounts, distributor, and exhaust - all done last year - over $4,000 in upgrades/repairs done over three years to make her safe and reliable. New, high-end speakers installed, but needs a head unit upgrade to fully enjoy (just haven't gotten around to doing). Also installed a chassis stiffener (see pics), which has greatly improved ride/handling (due to greatly reduced cowl shake and body roll). Serviced by well regarded local Alfa Romeo specialist shop.
Spent many years in DC, parked outdoors, so there's some minor pain oxidation and the rust is there in the common places: rocker panels, floor pans, and spare tire well. All rust has been repaired - but primarily to improve cosmetics. A full restoration will require welding of new panels. Minor cracks on dashboard - have a dash cover that is not installed but will come with the car in case the new owner wants to install (simple glue on process). Seats are original, with some tears - seat covers installed - looks great. Normal Spider gear crunch on 2nd gear, as is common/standard in these cars. Experienced Spider owners know to shift slowly in to second gear to avoid the "crunch."
This baby is ready to drive and enjoy! Also a great candidate for full restoration to keep as a classic collector car (value is rising as fewer are available). NEED TO MAKE ROOM IN THE GARAGE FOR OTHER TOYS - so my loss is your gain. Low Buy it Now price for quick sale!
