Description
You’re bidding on a 1974 AMC Javelin AMX, I will try give all the information on the vehicle that is to my knowledge if you have further questions please contact me and ask and I will answer to the best of my ability. It is a numbers matching car with a minor bit of restoration and and freshening up. Has the 360 4 barrel carb matched with a 3 speed automatic transmission. Car is equipped with the “Go-package” from AMC which included things like the flat black tailight panel, rally-pac instrument cluster and cowl hood. Original color was white but was repainted sometime before I got a hold of it. Along with the repaint the original interior was reupholstered and tastefully color matched, looks amazing and get a lot of compliments! Has only 31,375 original miles! The motor was pulled, painted original color and had all internals replaced a couple years ago and was slightly bored over to clean up cylinder walls. Put down 300hp at the crank on a dyno for whatever that’s worth, nothing crazy but still fun. Maybe put 1500 miles on since engine rebuild?!? Full new exhaust system starting with metallic ceramic coated Doug’s performance headers to 2.5 inch pipes the whole way back running through flow master mufflersthe thing sound badass that’s all I can say. Newer tires the whole way around, handles great. This is NOT a showroom quality car or a trailer queen however as I have included a picture of the only small bit of bubbling on the car that is on the drivers rear lower quarter panel. Along with that is some stone chips and small scratches that a car that gets driven will naturally acquire. It could use some brake work, a carb tuning and an alignment to take it to the next level. This is a very nice car that you can get in and drive but still could use some love and attention that I do not have time for and hoping the next owner does! The torque thrust wheels from American racing are perfect on the car and compliment it nicely! Overall it’s a super fun car to drive and it’s something different than all the mustangs and cameros that are on the road. They are increasingly rare as there were not many of these cars produced. Like I said earlier if you have any further questions I would be happy to answer them as I’m sure I forgot things here, happy bidding!
