Description
The A2 was a car ahead of its time. Launched in 2000, it was
revolutionary in that it used a body made entirely of weight-saving aluminium,
which - along with a range of small and efficient engines - made it extremely
economical with low CO2 figures. As a result it can compete with the greenest
new cars on sale today and is extremely cheap to run with low road tax and
cheap insurance.
The unconventional styling was a huge departure for Audi at the time but has aged very well, the A2 still looking distinctive. It's designed primarily for town or city driving and its short length (less than four metres) makes it easy to manoeuvre into small spaces. It's impressively roomy inside too with plenty of rear passenger room and a decent boot.
The A2 was awarded four stars by Euro NCAP for adult occupant crash safety. ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution and traction control are standard features on all models while every A2 also comes with front and side airbags. Isofix child seat mounts are standard in the back.
The A2 was quite expensive when it was first launched and this one is particularly well specified including height and reach adjustable steering, a cassette stereo, ESP stability control, height adjustable front seats, power steering, and remote central locking. 16-inch alloys.

Huge folder of history and past mots with service History up until 2012, then serviced independently this car has wanted for nothing, in the last 18 months its had… new front wheel bearings, new front springs, new rear drums, brake shoes and brake cylinders and as a result it has just flown through its MOT and has no advisories.
The car is in good condition and the only reason for sale as with three teenage boys my wife needs a bigger car but bear in mind it is 12 years old and has some age related marks , including a scuff to the rear nearside arch, - its bearly noticable but have included a picture.
