Description
I am re-listing the car as the winning bidder last time informed me that he misread the advert and therefore withdrew his offer!
We bought the car February this year as we wanted a smart, well built towcar but in the time we've had it we haven't used it for towing and not even fitted a towbar. We've since decided to sell the caravan and buy a smaller run around hence the sale. The car had service history to around 100k miles, cambelt change at 70k miles. Before we bought the car we ensured a lot of work was carried out before we took ownershipnew dual mass clutchnew front tyresbrake discs and pads (front and rear)new battery full MOTWe bought the car for £2900 from well respected Freerange cars in Stafford (Gnosall) who can verify the car and work done if required. Since owning the car we've replaced..
both valve cover vacuum hosesall 4 intake manifold hosesoil and filter change (GTX Magnatec)MAF sensorair filterfuel filterIdle control valveCoolant sensorG12 coolant replacementThe car has the odd age related mark which is to be expected, the rear ash tray lid is broken, the front wiper motor needs lubricating as wipers are sticking, there is a crack in one of the front fog lights, the air con needs re-gassing and the rear washer jet doesn't work. The car has/had a very very rare intermittent feature where the car for a short while (10 - 15 seconds) will rev slightly (up and down a few times to 1800 revs) when stationary and warm, it happens once in a blue moon and in all fairness hasn't happened for the last 2 weeks so. It's improved since the replacement Idle control valve was fitted. There are no engine management lights on and the car drives really well otherwise, very smooth and responsive. The car is very clean and tidy, it's a lot of car for the money!
All 4 tyres have nearly new tread, new discs and pads all round, nice tight responsive steering, Bose stereo (tape and CD), electric windows all work, remote central locking works, the car has a built in dog guard and 17" alloys. I've also washed the seats to freshen them up.
I hope people actually come and see the car to appreciate it, people seem to run a mile as soon as they find out it isn't diesel but we deliberately bought a petrol car as it's better for short distances as the diesel engines can suffer from short runs and economy is great on the motorway. It also amazes me how people can bid and buy cars without viewing hence why I've been honest with all the known issues. I'm probably being a little too honest but at least you know what you're getting.
I've listed all the known faults as its a genuine sale and I want the buyer to know exactly what to expect. I absolutely love the look the car, the black paint really suits it and I'll be gutted to see it go as I've grown fond of the car but we simply can't warrant keeping it.
I'm happy to answer any questions as best I can.
The car is collection only and I accept cash on collection and Paypal payment.
Please only bid if you are genuinely interested and have read the advert. I won't be open to any offers of under £1500. They'll be no need to haggle on the final selling price as the car description is totally honest.
Happy bidding!
