Description
For sale is my Audi A4 2.0 petrol.
It has the FSI engine which is tuned for economy - I have achieved 42mpg average on trips between Taunton and Minehead and regularly get high 30s.
As a result of this tuning the tax is relatively cheap for a car of this age at £200 for 12 months.
I bought the car in September 2013 as a 'stop gap' following my car being written-off in an accident that was not my fault. I've now found a replacement vehicle after 9 months of searching and this has been my runaround in that time and it's been a very good car.
Since I acquired it the car has had new brake pads all round and a tow bar fitted to tow a light trailer. It has also had a new battery and was serviced last week at a cost of £300 so should need nothing doing. It has a brand new MoT certificate.
It is the SE model rather than the standard or Sports versions, so has a front armrest, front foglights, decent stereo and electric windows all round.
It comes with two keys although the batteries I put in them so that they would remotely lock are now flat. The central locking works fine if you put the key in the ignition.
The body is in great condition with a few light marks. The interior shows some signs of wear but is reasonable overall. There are a few things not working; cruise control, rear wiper and the armrest catch has broken.
I have a number of invoices making a decent service history, and the service book is stamped with 7 stamps.
It was purchased as a used car from Robinsons Audi in 2004 at a cost of £16k at 22k miles and owned by the same person until 2011. The last service in this ownership was in 2009 at 91k miles.
It was then owned in Weston-Super-Mare and had the cam belt changed and a long life service undertaken in 2011 at 119k miles.
I purchased the car in September 2013 at around 135k and it was serviced last week at 142k miles.
I am advertising it at £1,850 and am open to near offers.
