The Car:
Thanksfor taking a look at this stunning, great value, and increasingly rare example of the Audi A4 1.8T Quattro Sport Avant, in what I think is the probablythe bestcolour for one of these - stunning Diamond Black metallic and finished with Anthracite sports clothtrim. Before telling you about the car, I think I should maybetell you a little about myself From College 18 yrs ago I wentstraight to work in the motor trade working exclusively for franchisedmain dealers in sales (including 5 years to late 2003 with an Audi main dealer, and Audi manufacturer training). This meantthat I spent my days buying and selling cars of all makes and models,both new and used, all day long. As such feel that being able to spot'the nice ones' is a skill developed with years of industry training.Since leaving the main dealer arena to pursue family commitments I havemaintained my industry contacts and get offered many cars by friends andprevious colleagues still working in main dealerships who are taskedwith keeping an eye out for these 'nice ones'. With both theirexperience and mine, this usually gives me a very good chance ofobtaining the nicest genuine cars at great prices, which then means I can pass thesaving straight onto you. This usually works for me, (not always, butthat's cars for you) but regardless, my commitment to you is that thecar will be described accurately here and priced to reflect the bestvalue I can find across the trade. Ihave to say, these cars are a true classic in the making! Ithink that they are superb to drive, stand the test of time and a few miles brilliantlywhen they have been looked after as this one has, feel really safe, and are among thebest value carsthat you can get. Thiscar drives without fault. This car really has been well looked after and it shows, and it isin great condition for its age, as you will have seen from the pictures. There is nopulling to theleft or right,either when accelerating, driving or braking. In fact, tbh, it drivesbeautifully and you can just tell ithas been really well maintained. Theacceleration is smoothand powerful as you would expect, these superb engines produce a veryrespectable 190bhp, hardly makes a sound when cruising along and yet canstill easily return a remarkable 31+ mpg!! The gearboxflicks from gear to gear silky smooth, both up and downthroughall 6 gears perfectly, the car starts, runs, and drives perfectly, andthe brakes feelsharp. There is no juddering from the steering wheel at motorway speed,and no funny noises, knocks or whines, and there are no warning lightson on the dashboard. It really couldn't drive any better! The 'Star' alloywheelsare all in good condition and the tyresare also in good condition all round. Ihaveinspected the car all over, and otherthan the odd tiniest obligatory tinystone chips/age related mark/surface scratches, there is no damage thatyou would call significant, or even noticeable. Overall, thecar presents excellently for its ageand has obviously been looked after (seepics/history). Inside the car the cloth trim is virtually unmarked, and there are no scuffs,rips or tearsanywhere. It really does feel very fresh and clean forit's age. Allof the knobs and buttons work, and there are nopieces of trim hanging off anywhere. The air con is nice and cold (orwarm!) as it should be, as in all Audi's the entertainment system sounds great, and the dashboard all lights up nice andclear asit should. I could justkeep going onand on. Onmy drive home after collecting this car, all I can saythat it drove perfectly at alltimes (save that I felt the clutch was a little high and had a very slight judder - hence the new clutch). It is worth noting that whilst with Audi, I ran the 1.8T's as company cars, and had dozens of them over the years so I do know exactly how they are meant to drive, and this one now drives exactly as Audi built it to. It is a lovely example, the superb engine pulls well in allgears, and the legendary 'Quattro' system ensures that you are firmly and safely stuck to the road whatever the conditions. All in all, a great value, well built and safe family estate that is cheap to run, looks great, and is a pleasure todrive.
Quitesimply, this is a stunning car at an even more stunning price!!It honestly couldn't drive any better, is in superb condition for its age, has been well serviced, and has a long MOT, It is a veryrelaxing and enjoyableplace to be.. !! It also comeswith the original Audi handbook pack, servicehistory book stamped as detailed above, and both original keys. Other than thisall I can say really is if you are looking for one of these cars, thenyou should probably stop reading this ad and call me straight awaybecause as I said, I don't think you really will find a better value carat thisage, mileage and price anywhere, and I'm sure that the first person toview thiscar will definitely drive away in it!
As always, I have tried to be as honest as possiblewith my description, as mis-describing cars just wastes everybody'stime. However, as ever, it can only be regarded as my opinion (what elsecould it be?!), and as such I would much prefer you to come and viewthe car for yourself before bidding or buying (I prefer it as I am nottrying to hide anything). Any test drive/inspection is not onlywelcomed, but is indeed expected (current driving licence required totest drive). I also prefer it as once you view the car for yourself, and drive the car for yourself, you will see for yourselfwhat a truly stunning example this is and what fantastic value formoney that it represents.
