Description
This has been my daily driver for over 2 years and has some known issues but with the right owner with some mechanical know-how I am sure it will be a great purchase. I am selling as I now have a vehicle provided by work and no-longer require the Audi.
The auction will end on Tuesday 14th April and full payment and collection needs to be complete by Friday the 17th as I will be unavailable for the following weeks.
Good Points;
Great condition paintwork and interiorQuattro 4 Wheel Drive is great in the snowV8 Engine is fast and accelerates beautifully (issue with idle below though)Nice Bose soundsystem with CD changerIn dash display with Sat NavNew battery in March 20144 New Hankook Optimo Tyres in April 2014Replaced front brake pads & rotors in April 2014Oil Filter & fluids changedin October 2014New spark plugs in Feb 2015As you can see from the maintainance above I take it in for regular service and have bought quality parts when required but there are issues that I have not had resolved. Please read carefully as this car is sold as seen and I want to sell this car to soem one who understands the issues and there will be ne refunds. This review is written as truthfully as possible but of course there may be other issues that I am not aware of.
Known Issues (I tried to put them in order of importance);
Engine Rough on Idle and under low acceleration the engine speed goes up and down (i.e not stable at 1500 rpm but goes between 1400-1600). The engine accelerates and pulls fine when you increase the power.Check Engine light is on - this is due to the secondary air injection system - I am told this adds air to the exhaust system when cold to reduce emissions. The car still passed its emissions test in Nov 2013 (I have certificate)Parking Brake - I do not use the parking brake as once it "stuck" on and I had to get a mechanic to release. The warnign light is on - but I just don't use it anymore and it causes no issues.Passenger Door Lock - using the central locking the button/key the passenger door does not lock. There is a override on the inside of the door that must be used. Again not a huge issue and I presume a simple fix if you know how.Clouded Headlamp - one of the headlamps is "cloudy". I used a 3M kit to polish which worked for about 6 months but then ot clouded up again. Not a big issue but the car would look better with a new headlamp cover.Please be clear that this car is sold as seen and there will be no refunds. If you bid then you acknowledge the car has issues you need to fix and I hope the Audi can go to a good owner who can fix them and enjoy the car.
