Hi. Welcome to my sale of my Audi A6 1.9TDI. I bought the car as a project with an engine rattle. On diagnosis I found that one hydraulic tappet and a camshaft lobe had worn badly causing the noise. I removed the cylinder head and completely rebuilt it. The valves wear removed and decoked reground with new valve stem seals, cylinder head was refaced, injectors were tested and refitted with all new seals and bolts, a new camshaft, carrier caps, new hydraulic tappets, new injector wiring loom, all new bolts, cambelt kit, water pump, antifreeze, all filters and engine oil was changed, a new egr valve was fitted and new vac pipes.
I have now done over 1000 miles since rebuild without a single problem. The engine is a 1.9TDI 8 valve engine code AWX which produces 130BHP but can be remapped to over 150BHP. This was the best engine audi made both for power and economy. I get around 40mpg round town more on a run. Both inside and outside are in great condition with hardly a mark on the outside. All the leather seats are in great condition with electric adjustable front seats. The stereo is standard with flip down front, the climate control works as it should. It has electric windows all round which all work as they should. Remote central locking, air bags and esp. It also has a flip down tv screen in the rear roof lining and in the boot is a power converter which can run a dvd/media player and has wireless headphones so the kids could watch something in the back while you listen to the radio without ARE WE THERE YET!
It has a full 12 month mot without any advisories. I have also fitted a set of 19 inch alloys which have 3 brand new tyres. I also have the original 16 inch wheels if preferred but they need a couple of new tyres. It has covered just over 151,000 miles and is still in daily use. You wont find a better one for the year I have worked the parts bill on rebuilding it to just under £900 without labour which in a garage would be another £700. Thanks for looking.
