Up for sale is my Audi A6 2.0 TDI S-Line Avant 55 plate. The car was originally purchased by my father in law from Audi in 2005, I was then tasked with selling it for him inOct 2015 but decided I couldn't as it was such a good car for such little money and so bought it from him myself. To be honest I didn't need it when I bough it, I just thought it a crime to sell as I know how much money has been spent on it throughout its life, I really don't need it though so here it is for sale.
The car has done 161k however at about 125k it had a brand new engine from Audi along with clutch, flywheel, turbo etc etc at a cost of around £7k, this was all due to the balancer shaft failing, a common fault on higher mileage 2.0TDI Audis.
Throughout its life the car has had no expense spared, all servicing has been done at Audi and then our local specialist Rutland Prestige, all invoices are present in a huge history folder and the service book is stamped up. I have the car in the garage today for a service so the new owner has nothing to worry about for a good while. MOT is until November this year and there were no advisories when done in Nov 2015, only 2-3 months ago.
Mechanically the car is great, starts first time every time, no smoke or knocks or rattles, the only real niggle is that the rear parking sensors don't work. Bodywork wise it has the usual small scratches and scuffs etc that a car of this age gets, the alloys could maybe do with a refurb if you wanted them perfect. All consumables like tyres brakes etc are good with lots of life left. Inside its very comfortable, full heated leather, Sat Nav, Climate Control, CD changer, Cruise Control etc, no rips or tears to the leather.
All in all its a very presentable, extremely reliable and economical car at a great price. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across Europe tomorrow, we did a 1000+ mile trip to the isle of skye in November 15 and it didn't miss a beat.
