Description
Time to sell one of my S6's and get on with the refurbishment of another one.
The basics are
1996 S6 Auto 7 seat estate
Plus Spec.
MOT'D until 26 August 2016.
111k FSH.
Black leather, electric / heated seats.
Full working air-con, non sunroof
The suspension / underside of the car has been totally refurbished (over £1k worth of parts fitted, 4 new FAG wheel bearings. 4WA by Taunton Audi)
Fuel tank has been removed and treated (normal weak point)
Front and rear brakes as new. calipers are like new (painted black)
Cambelt / waterpump changed / serviced earlier in the year, sump gaskets, crank seal replaced. Brake fluid changed, Antifreeze changed.
Auto box oil a filter changed, output seal replaced.
Car is currently running on Avus 16" S2 rims with new 205 55 16 Goodyear tyres on refurbished rims but i have got a set of refurbished "Plus" style rims which could be fitted.
Bad points.
Paint lacquer peel on various panels.
Chips in windscreen but it passes MOT fine.
N/S "A" pillar is rusty and possibly leaking a small amount of water (i was intending to remove the windscreen and repair the rust and fit a new screen)
Basically the car is mechanically spot on but could do with a respray to make it mint.
