Austin 1800 (1966) Mk1 5 months rego!

Up for auction is my Dad's 1966 Austin 1800. Dad's a retired Mechanical Engineer and has always owned and fastidiously maintained Austin's. This Austin1800, that he's owned for 15 years, is his daily drive along with his Austin Freeway (that he's owned since new) The time has come to part with one of his treasured Austin's.
Dad thinks he is the second owner but can't verify this. He recently found the handbook with the original owners details in it. It has five months NSW registration left and will easily pass inspection for a pink slip if required. The engine is original, tyres are good, body is straight, paint is okay, speedo shows around 57500 miles but it's possible this is actually 157500. The one bad point is that the clutch thrust bearing needs replacement. The car still drives fine it's just that at nearly 80 it pains Dad to say he's just not up to replacing it.
The car is located at Katoomba but is registered and drivable and up to a long trips. Dad regularly drives it out to Mudgee with no problems which is about 200km. I arrived unexpectedly to take the photos and quite a few of the items shown in the photos obviously don't come with the car. Assume it is just the basic car. Inspection is welcome and please don't hesitate to ask questions, if I can answer them I will otherwise it might take me a day or so to contact Dad.
Please only bid if you genuinely want to buy, he's also ex Army and hates getting stuffed around! Payment and pickup is within 7 days of the end of the auction unless you contact us to make other arrangements. Cash on pickup is preferred.
There is also another Mk11 wreck currently listed on eBay as well, have a look. If you want it and it's unsold at the time you can have that as well!
