Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful REAL DOCUMENTED 1956 Austin Healey 100M!!!!Yep, One of 640 from the factory. Verified. Documented. Paperwork. History. Registry. This Healey occupies its place in rarified air. Healey made 50 "S" models, 355 Tri-Carb Two-seaters, and 640 factory M models. Last time I looked at the M registry that Bill Meade has less than 200 of these "real" M's that can be accounted for. If you're a Healey person you already know these numbers, if you are a collector/investor you are looking at the most desirable Healey after a 100 "S'.Let's start with the documentation- CRITICAL in a Healey 100M. The first Heritage Certificate we have is dated 1991 and in the other section, it says- "With the louvered bonnet, this car is a genuine factory-built 100 "M" (or Le Mans) model. The 2011 Heritage Certificate says- The BMIHT can confirm that this vehicle is a genuine, factory-built 100 "M" Le Mans. In December of 2005 this car got its anointed "blessing" from the guru of all things 100M, Bill Meade. Mr. Meade issued a certificate that this car is indeed real and registered in the 100M Le Mans Registry. 40 years of paperwork history. BULLET PROOF DOCUMENTATION. INVESTMENT GRADE HEALEY.The folks in California and Oregon may remember this car from club events over the years- she's been wearing red paint for a long time. When brother John and I had the opportunity to acquire this car (in some circles we are known as the Healey Brothers) we knew that we had to have this one. We stepped up, had her shipped, and immediately made arrangements to have a magnificent proper coat of Old English White over Black Duotone metal respray done, just as she left the factory. We spent 14K and that was a favor- we got, in my opinion, much more than we paid for. The paint is stunning. The metal was and is good.We are of the opinion that this M has led a pretty sheltered life. Great floors, great sills, one outrigger touched up just a bit. This is one solid old car. The exterior sheet metal was excellent at the time of our repaint (I know this because the shop manager of the place we use always wants to let me know if there's an issue- imagine that). Have confidence.Original Engine. Look at the tag. Original M numbers stamped in the hood (bonnet) of course. The trunk is a replacement from somewhere in its past. The engine compartment and underside are nice and tidy but have not been recently restored. This is one very correct, very nice running and driving M. Is it Pebble Beach- nope but it's not 200k plus either. There seem to be very few M's available in this price range- we see cars for 80K that need a total restoration and we see cars that are ground up restored at 190 and up.We think this car represents a value in the market as a stunning driver and a model that has appreciated very well over the last twenty-plus years. Look at the photos, we work hard to make sure they are a very accurate representation of the car. We'd love to discuss any questions you may haveDrive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized possession, the choice is yours once you make it yours. We stand behind our thoughts on this car by offering our travel expenses guarantee- come see the car and if we have materially misrepresented its condition we will gladly pay half of your travel expenses up to $500.00- this offer had been in place since we sold our first classic and we haven't paid the money yet. We pride ourselves on having good cars and representing them properly.Additional pictures and video are available, please call 877-696-3421 for more photos, information or to schedule a test drive.
