Description
BMW e30 325i convertible. Very good condition, MOT until next July. The body on the car is very very clean, the paint is in very good condition and the only rust bubble is a very small patch on the left rear wheel arch as shown in the pictures. The wheel arches have been rolled previously to fit bigger wheels but this has not damaged the paint on the exterior of the car.
The car is fitted with a brand new set of 15" Replica BBS split rims, and 4 nearly new Toyo Proxes t1-s tyres. The car has recently been serviced, has a new battery and a full new exhaust system including stainless tubular manifolds, stainless back box and mild steel centre box. The car runs and drives exactly as expected, no whines or funny noises, no misfiring or splutering. It pulls well through all of the gears, brakes very well and in a straight line, the power steering is very good and it handles just the way it should. All of the guages and controls work correctly. The car has had all new suspension all round, with m-tech front suspension legs, brand new sachs shocks on the front, bilstein shocks on the back, and brand new sachs springs all round. This is a brand new standard m-tech sport suspension kit so the car now handles like an original e30 325i sport.
There is a minor problem with the roof. This car has an electric roof, and it is complete with all motors, wiring and mechanisms. We have set the roof up so that all of the timings of the different actions are correct to the best of our knowledge, but the roof still needs a little help. The roof will work for 99% of its cycle as you would expect, apart from lifting the rear of the roof in order to open and close the clamshell. When this point is reached at the begining of the opening cycle, or towards the end of the closing cycle, you must get out and lift the rear of the roof an inch or so just to help the motor as it cant pick it up on its own. Apart from this the roof works fine and the car can still be enjoyed as you would expect.
Other smaller issues with the car are the drivers seat, which could do with refurbishment as well as the bolsters colour coding with the rest of the interior, and there were 3 advisories on the MOT. The nearside mirror is slightly discoloured but still useable, There is some light corrosion on the fuel line and the hand brake efficiency was low, although the car had been stood for some time previous so this may clean up with some use. There is no spare wheel with the car.
There are some obvious issues with this car but overall it is a very clean example. The shell and the sport body kit are in very good condition, It really does shine and turn heads, and mechanically the car is very good and lovely to drive. A little time spent sorting out the minor issues around the car and this could make a very very good example.
RELISTING DUE TO A TIMEWASTER! And for those who looked before, the roof didnt work before but we have managed to improve it since the last listing.
