Description
BMW 330ci M Sport Coupe - Facelift Manual (6 Speed)
I have had this car for a year and a half. When considering every aspect of the car, it has been by far my best rated car to date. Reason for sale is downsizing as I no longer drive for my work commute. The car only has 3 former keepers.
The car is finished in BMW Titan Silver, with black leather electric memory seats and unmarked Carbon Cube trim. Being an 03 plate, it is one of the first facelifted models which means it benefits from some options not available on earlier cars.
The car has a huge specification, with many optional extras including:
6 Speed Manual Gearbox - Better drive and MPG than Auto or 5 speed box. Incredibly smooth!Automatic-on HID Xenon LightsRain sensing wipersFully electric / programmable memory M-Sport leather seatsElectric memory heated mirrors (Side mirror position is programmed with seat memory)BMW Professional Stereo System (10 speaker system - More powerful upgrade than “BMW Business” System)60/40 split folding rear seatsCruise ControlFull open / close on keyfob (Windows can be opened/closed from fob)Supplied with two keysClimate control air conditioning (all in good working order!)Genuine staggered fitment MV2 Alloy wheels (Fully sand blasted and powder coated 2 years ago. Still very good condition, showing quality of refurbishment)LED Rear lights (Genuine BMW) - Standard on facelift coupes and look fantastic
Good Bits
Car was fitted with new Eibach Pro-kit springs and Bilstein B4 shock absorbers. These give a perfect, sensible and reliable ride with a slight lowering to the car. Together, they are the perfect combination for the E46
Car has had regular oil changes throughout its life
Oil consumption is roughly 250ml every 1000 miles (Good for the 3.0 M54 engine)
Good tyres all round (details to follow)
Almost full service history (mostly stamps). Lots of receipts for work and parts since my ownership
Just serviced at same time as MOT
In the last three years the car has had the following:
New front wishbone bushesNew front brakes (discs and pads)New power steering pumpNew water pump with metal impellerNew coolant expansion tankNew coolant thermostatNew radiatorNew DISA valveNew batteryNew drop-linksNew rocker cover gaskets (all replaced, these go brittle over the years)New front and rear top mounts
Bad points
As you’ll find with all cars of age, they aren’t perfect. With that in mind, this car is exceptional for it’s years. Some points that would need addressing to make it nearer perfect are:Some stone chips on front bumper and bonnetSome wear on drivers seatWindscreen has a few minor chips which have been professionally treatedSome scraping on bottom of front bumper and side skirtsSmall Dent in the driver side rear archOil level sensor is faulty (common issue) meaning it reads a yellow warning light for a minute or two on start-up. I check the oil regularly so it’s never been a concernRadio display is fine on cool mornings but hard to read when the car is warmer inside (Common issue)
General Information
Car achieves 35-40 MPG on a good Motorway run (I was shocked too!) and high twenties around town
The car has just been MOT’d so has a fresh year on it until February 2017
The car has covered 183k miles. It has spent it’s time doing a lot of motorway miles
The car is relatively high mileage, however it is in very good mechanical and cosmetic condition - Far better than most others, even those with much lower mileage.
I know whoever purchases this car will be very happy.
I have created a walk-around video to give you a better idea of the car:
