BMW 330D. A Real beast of a turbo diesel. 140k, huge amount of history inc a fully re con gearbox
Hi time has come to part with my 330 due to another newer estate car for my growing family and id like a camper . Having done my homework before purchasing this Bmw I read about gearbox failures very common ,swirl flaps getting ingested destroying complete engines, control arm bush failure , turbos, vac pipe problems, boost problems mafs ETC ETC it still didn't put me off however , as a friend and family member had owned a 330d due to the amazing turn of speed for a diesel and a very real world 40mpgs I went through all the known faults that these cars do develop and found one with a re conditioned gearbox!, just serviced and lots of history. so I got it, but it was slow!? I then serviced it again and replaced the following . FILTERS CONSUMABLES
CRANK CASE OIL BREATHER
MAF UPGRADED TO A PIERBURG 07 LOTS OF ADVICE FROM FORUMS ON THIS ONE AS BOSCH ONES FAIL
ALL VACUUM PIPES
COMPLETE INLET MANIFOLD (de flap one from a manual,FOR PEACE OF MIND ) found the old one had two broken studs that led to a leak that in turn killed the injector wiring loom so replaced that too

ONE OSF CONTROL ARM BUSH THE NSF WAS AS NEW
SO WITH ALL SORTED AND WELL, SHE FLEW! HAPPY
So that was over a year ago now and ive have had problem free motoring, also fitted a chip for a boost in power and economy, around 200bhp in eco setting although I have no idea exactly how much power it has, i have never run the full power mode. i also fitted a de- cat stainless pipe and can include an uprated intercooler that iv yet to fit for the right money. The car does 40mpg driven in manual mode and it is a quick car, the body works tidy apart from some very minor lacquer peel and some scratches and scrapes, some rust on the osr arch and slight bubbling on the wing (pictured), the wheels are replicas, 18 inch alpinas and are in poor condition kerbing and one has a slight buckle, if i were keeping it these would be replaced. the interior is un marked,clean and smoke free, black cloth with the silver trim,nice multi function steering wheel, all the usual bmw refinements, it has parking sensors and all electrics work. its MOT TILL 21ST JAN 2015
