Description
For sale a 2002 BMW E46 325CI with 143k miles. Runs and drives excellent. This was my daughters daily driver for the past 6 years. She recently bought a new car and it is time to let this one go. I cared for the car for her over the years. Yet not perfect but is in excellent running condition and would be a great daily driver for a student or commuter. Currently registered in CA until FEB 8th 2022. The renewal fee is $130. It has a Salvage title. Just passed smog yesterday and will come with a smog certificate for California bidder. 0 Feedback bidders will have bid removed if you don't not contact me first before bidding! Selling at NO RESERVE to highest bidder!!
Engine
2.5 liter inline 6 cylinder with 185hp. Runs excellent. Starts right up. I would not hesitate to drive long distance. No coolant leaks. Does have small oil leak coming from the oil filter housing gasket. Small oil dots on drive way. $3 gasket, but it is a 2 hour job. Just replaced the valve cover gasket, water pump, thermostat, upper radiator hose and new spark plugs. Oil changed 3,000 miles ago with Royal Purple synthetic.
Transmission
5 speed Steptronic automatic transmission. Shifts smoothly with no slippage or grinding. Can also be manually shifted if you'd like too.
Exterior
Black Sapphire (475) exterior. Still original paint and is starting to show its age with marks and blemishes. Only recently repainted the front bumper, the rest of the car is original paint. There is a dent on the passenger side rear quarter panel. This is the cause of the salvage title. Also has scuff marks on the rear bumper. Was going to repaint as well but decided to move on. (Please see large photos below).
Interior
Black leather interior is in great condition. There is a seam slightly open on drivers seat. Otherwise in great condition. Leather is soft to the touch and was conditioned with Leather Honey conditioner. A & C pillar covers have been coming undone and front ones removed. Headliner is in good condition. Not sagging in rear. (Please see large photos below).
Suspension
Still has original suspension and is starting to show its age. I would definitely replace the front struts next to have a back to new feel condition. Rear shocks are just ok for now. Replaced the control arm bushings recently. Does drive nice and straight on the freeway.
Wheels, Tires and Brakes
18" 330ci ZHP wheels with 225/40/18 in front with tread wear about 70% left. Rear tires are 255/35/18 with about 50%. (Please see large photos below). Fronts brakes has new rotors and pads and have about 80% pad wear left. Rear brakes had the pads replaced with 80% pad wear left. All done about 6 months ago.
Electrical
Power seats and mirrors work as they should. Drivers side window works fine, but passenger side is misaligned and will get stuck if lowered more than half way. (Please see large photos below). Power moonroof is also misaligned and motor works but gets stuck when trying to move it. We just left the moon roof alone. All gauges and buttons work as they should. Cruise control works fine. Original CD player is also working fine. A/C system has just been serviced with new condenser and recharged. Blows ice cold.
