Description
Condition: Great condition; well maintained, everything works well; small paint dings from road wear; driver side leather seat has hole in side from entry and exit wear.
Features: Well accessorized E46 style; Harmon Kardon sound system, 6 speed manual transmission, driver and passenger side heated, electric bucket seats, installed Mediabridge satellite, Bluetooth, and USB interface. Comes with a full set of original equipment BMW tan seat covers, which I have never used. Top is in good shape; no leaks or holes; retracting electronics, mechanics, and pneumatics are excellent. Has great acceleration and power. Six speed trans is kind of rare, but really nice for highway cruising.
History: I bought the car in 2010, post repair. It was originally owned by someone in the Northeast, who allowed snow (shoveled in when closing the driver door) to melt under the driver seat. The electronic control board under the driver seat shorted out, and the insurance company salvaged the car before they could figure out what was wrong. The car was purchased at auction by a local independent dealer, and repairs were done by a certified BMW mechanic (I can provide references for both if needed), and the vehicle was completely restored. Apart from a repair in 2011, when a family member backed into it in the driveway (body work done by BMW dealer), the car has required only maintenance work during the 5 years I have been driving it; oil changes, tires (Continentals with plenty of wear left), belts, valve cover gasket, new plugs coils and wires, front control arm bushings, brake pads and rotors, rear shocks (bilsteins), etc. I have really enjoyed this car, but I don't use the convertible top very much; and, as I have gotten older, I have grown to appreciate an automatic transmission more.
Shipping and payment: Shipping is the buyer's responsibility; Deposit of US $500.00 within 48 hours of auction close; Full payment cash or cashiers check is required within 7 days of auction close and prior to buyer taking possession of the car.
