Description

For sale is a low mileage 2011 BMW 328i XDrive (42,500 miles). This vehicle was completely looked over by BMW and has worked exactly as it should for the past 2 years that I’ve had it on the road. I purchased this vehicle from the insurance company after it had been LIGHTLY flooded. The water had only risen about 1 or 2 inches above the carpets on the inside of the car and never affected any of the mechanical functions, i.e. engine, transmission, alternator, starter, etc. of the car. Again, NO water got into the engine! I bought it because I knew the damage it had sustained and knew it could be fixed as if nothing had ever happened.

The following is a list of things that I did to erase any affects of the slight water damage:

1. I changed all the fluids in the vehicle to make sure no water got into any of the mechanical components of the car. It did not.
2. I had BMW strip out the seats, the rug (including the foam insulation underneath the rug) and the dashboard. They then wiped down all the electrical wiring and sheet metal of the car to remove any lingering moisture. They also tested all the electrical components of the car. Not only did they test the components that could have been affected directly by the water damaged, but everything.
3. There were a few components that BMW advised I should have replaced, so I did so. The first was the electrical connection behind the gas pedal. Then I replaced the entire fuse box (mostly to be safe and prevent any future issues).

Again all electrical wiring was wiped down and tested. All moisture was removed from the car in every way conceivable before the NEW CARPET, NEW FLOOR INSULATION (under the carpet), the seats, and the NEW FLOOR MATS were put in. We also tested the dash cluster, the communications module (bluetooth, phone, nav -antenna, optic fiber, etc) which was not flooded and they all worked and still work as they should (located below the rear seat), the stereo, the speakers, etc. and everything checked out fine.

Again, I purchased the entire interior rug and insulation kit from BMW for approximately $700 and had it professionally installed. I also purchased all new floor mats, again OEM products. The vehicle was then test driven by BMW several times and everything checked out fine. I can honestly say when I took the vehicle for its rebuilt title inspection, the inspector thought it was a new car.

Since the time that I was issued a rebuilt title, this has been my daily driver for 2 full years. However, I have 2 kids now and simply need a larger vehicle. I recently had the car detailed again and it looks great. I've gone ahead and listed all of the features available in the car below. I am selling this via a no reserve auction, so the highest bid wins the vehicle. Again, I can't emphasize enough the fact that this vehicle is in great condition. At this point, it does have 42,500 miles on it, so there are the usual minor scrapes and scratches, but overall it looks great in my opinion. Please feel free to call me with any questions about the work that was done for the vehicle in general. I've done my best to take pictures of all the work that was performed while it was being done (you can see the picture of the car when it was completely stripped down (not only the seats out (and covered), but the rug out, and the dash off).

Again, I fixed this vehicle in order for it to be the car that my family would use. It has been a great car for 2 years and will likely sell at a significant discount off of what a similar, clear title, fully loaded 2011 BMW 328xi would sell for, so someone is going to get a great deal. Please bid with confidence.
