Description
Here for sale is my 2007 BMW E60 520d SE 4 door saloon.
It is the LCI (Life cycle impulse) model, so it has many subtle improvements over the 03 - 06 cars. I believe these to be improvements to interior (dash, door handles, improved i-drive etc) and other details such as redesigned bumpers and improved light units with halo effect and led's.
What makes this car slightly unusual is that it features the earlier M47 engine rather than the later N47 which was notorious for timing chain problems. I gather that there were relatively few LCI cars with the M47 engine as all cars built from 1st September 2007 featured the N47 unit. So while this engine is ever so slightly down on power it is definitely the safer bet (and it still goes like a rocket!)
This is a very reluctant sale, but has been decided on due to the impracticalities of a saloon car. I bought the car originally because it was clear to me that it had been very well looked after and it drives so well. With hindsight, I should have waited for an estate version, and it is something more practical that I am now looking for.
Condition wise the car is lovely, of course there are a few age and mileage related imperfections, but overall very good. It certainly has real presence and looks good in the platinum grey.
All tyres are matching Dunlop run flats, and have loads of life in them. There are no warning lights on the dash, the computer states no faults and the car starts first time every time whatever the weather.
The interior is lovely, virtually no wear at all, everything works and it still smells as new.
I would always encourage anyone interested to come and have a look to assess the car for yourself as everyone has different views on condition. What I can say though is that I am quite fussy!
All books and keys are present. 9 services in the service book @ 21209 miles, 37480, 43335, 65417, 69407, 74876, 84181, 106309 and 121587 miles.
Please get in touch if you would like to view or need any other info.
Cash on collection or bank transfer before collection. No other forms of payment.
Car is advertised elsewhere, so if sold, the listing may be withdrawn.
Many thanks.
