Since the 1970's BMW has proclaimed that they offer "The Ultimate Driving Machine." With THIS BMW, we couldn't agree more. It's such and enjoyable car to drive that we use it every day for errands and as a chase vehicle. These cars were very well made, they are durable, reliable, safe, comfortable and are capable of very high mileage. The styling of the E28 is timeless, elegant and iconic for BMW. The example seen here is a 528e model which was a US spec intended for fuel efficiency and dependability.
This is literally the only E28 5 Series BMW we have ever offered for sale, and yes it's an awesome car. The mileage is very low for the year and low for one of these cars. We know it was stored inside which is also evident from the excellent interior condition. We bought this BMW knowing it had experienced an accident in 1988 and had a Reconstructed title. Normally we do not consider salvage and reconstructed title cars, but to have the opportunity to get an E28 is such good shape with such low mileage, we decided not to worry about that. We suspect that some buyers will pass on this car over the title, but they will be missing out on a fantastic "driver quality" example. The damage was obviously repaired and the car was painted after the accident. There are a few spots where the paint has chipped and is cracking. Photos are included. We like how original this car is. The only modification is the Kenwood Bluetooth stereo that we had installed. The original radio is included. Also present are owner's books and extra keys. We have performed a thorough service in preparation for sale that included an oil change, brake fluid flush, a/c charge, a new battery, new Hankook tires, several bulbs, lower control arm bushings, ball joints, hood struts, wiper blades, thermostat, heat blower motor, timing cover seal, timing belt and water pump.
