Description
1986 BMW 635CSi. The next classic European sport coupe that is guaranteed to rise in value. With timeless German lines, this car attracts a ton of attention– just as you'd expect. Largely considered the pinnacle of Euro 2+2 coupes of the 1980s, this pristine example holds its own on the tarmac; whether it's the Autobahn or the freeway. Its evident that this car has been taken care of. The inside is all black- the way it should be in this car. With 8-way power Recaro sport seats, it's hard to find an uncomfortable position behind the wheel. Classic BMW gauges sit directly in front of you, and the 80s BMW driver-facing center controls function great. The on-board computer features the ability to calculate fuel economy, average speed, ambient temperature and fuel range. The power sunroof has no leaks and functions perfectly, including the tilt setting. With options like these, it's hard to believe this car is nearly 30 years old!
On the outside of the BMW you'll see the dealer-installed M6 BBS wheels- a hint that this 6er isn't just your grandpas's Sunday driver. Also featuring dealer-installed Euro stripes, which are extremely rare to come across on this side of the Atlantic. The famous Hoffmeister kink is accented beautifully with nearly perfect original chrome trim that accentuates what is arguably the best window lines of any car ever made. Chrome accents on front and rear bumpers are in great shape. The car is in diamant schwarz metallic, which we call "black diamond metallic". It's not quite black, not quite greyjust a perfect combination.
Under the hood, you'll find some tasteful upgrades that are undeniably a perfect addition to this great vehicle. A webcam racing cam along with higher compression pistons give this car a little extra oomph, and really bring this German missile to another level. From first gear to fifth, this car pulls extremely strong and it's evident that this car is a great performer. The power is put to the wheels with a factory installed Limited Slip Differential to keep things running smoothly.
Bilstein shocks help keep the car well planted with the help of a Bavarian Autosport strut tower brace to keep things in line. This car dives into corners with ease and comes out asking for more.
Original tool kit is nearly complete, with the exception of a couple of wrenches. Still has the original white gloves that kept that 80s manicure from getting dirty if you had to change a flat! Trunk is in great shape, as you can see in the photo.
Car is located in CANADA. To my knowledge, and from what i can see, it was never driven in the winter. Vehicle is Canadian-spec: which means mileage in car is recorded in KM. Mileage listed in ad was converted to miles.
