I purchased this 750iL as a gift for my father a little over 3 years ago, as i have a great love of e38's and wanted him to have the opportunity to drive the top of the line model. He did use it for a couple of summers (always stored before the roads were salted) and only drove it a bit this spring. Unfortunately, health reasons leave him unable to use the car now, hence the sale.. While the original owner (CEO of a semiconductor company) was from NJ, the car hasn't seen much salt as I believe he wintered in Hawaii. I believe he is listed as owner 1 & 2 in the CarFax as he appears to have bought the car personally after having it as a company leased vehicle. It has been well maintained as evidenced by the extensive dealer service history on CarFax (and the condition of the car itself) as well as under my care, I have always made sure any issues were addressed so my father would never have to worry when using it to take longer trips.
Since he got it at slightly less than 60K miles, all the fluids have been changed (including transmission oil and filter) and just within the last 200 miles new front brake pads, rotors, all 4 hoses, and a brake fluid flush were performed. Also, the driveshaft center hanger bearing was replaced, front thrust arms and the A/C idler pulley. In the last 3000 miles, the cooling system was refreshed including the water pump, which was a very involved job on these V12 engines (see pic). Please see the maintenance spreadsheet I prepared for full details. If there was any hint of an issue, it was addressed. I wanted him to enjoy these cars as much as I do.
