Description
Thecar was parked under a car cover over a year or so ago. It was runningperfect when parked. It is NOT running now. Fuel has gone bad from sitting, batteries are dead and fuel filtersare probably gummed up. Car was taken off the road due to familyfinancial crisis. I couldnt afford to fuel it and insure it any more soparked it and lost interest in it. Its been sitting since. I did use tostart her once a week or so but started to forget and left it too long wherethe batteries were weak, went dead and that was it. Ive had it over 8 years andnever had an issue with it while it was running. Its a rare 6 speedmodel which is why I originally bought it. I spent over $18k in partsand maintenance shortly before it was decommissioned and have the folderof receipts to prove it. A list of items replaced on the car is asfollows..New headlight buckets, headlights and adjusters. Intakemanifold gaskets. Water pump and hoses. Upper and lower oil pan gaskets.Expansion bottle. Fan clutch. Radiator. Valve cover gaskets. Sparkplugs, distributor caps and rotor arms. Fuel injectors. Magnaflowstainless rear mufflers. Bilstein shocks and Dinan springs all around(car was converted from the troublesome SLS system). Dinan sway barsfront and rear. New control arms upper and lower. Ruff Racing 18" rims8.5" front and 9.5" rear. Lifetime 3M window tint.
The car was prettymuch gone thru top to bottom and had no issues until I had to park it. Ireally hate to see her go but she needs to go to someone who can restore thecosmetics and bring her back to where she needs to be. Its a rare 6speed manual version and that in itself makes it worth the restorationwork.
Disclosure: Slight rust on edge of sunroof panel. This is common. They have a metal sunroof panel (not glass). Typical fix is to replace the panel. There is also a spot of surface rust on front of hood, not deep but had to mention. Paint is faded on rear bumper cover, sunroof and hood. Drivers door has a dent where my wife bumped it here in the driveway. The rest of the body is straight. The car is worth more in parts than the reserve.
Before you bid, understand the car is NOT running. Dont be like the last bidder who didnt read the description and come to pick it up and want to hear it run. Fuel system needs cleaned and batteries replaced. No, you cannot use my driveway as a workshop and fiddle with the car. I can reassure the buyer with new batteries and clean fuel system she will fire right up. You can hook up cables to turn her over and see that all electrics work . I would say she will fire for sure on starting fluid to verify ignition but thats your call. You will need to pay first before you try that. The last guy did all of the above, didnt pay the deposit and wasted my time.
Ignore the date on the pictures. These pictures were taken on 7/24/15.
