Description

My BMW ALPINA D3 #479 is up for sale.
Black Sapphire Metallic
114,000 Miles
FSH
Taxed to Oct '15
MOT to Nov '15
This car was my introduction to Alpina and I've now developed a genuine passion for these machines and will definitely own another in the future.
So, she is a 2007 (57 plate) Alpina D3 saloon in Black Sapphire Metallic. She has just ticked over the 114k miles mark which will continue to rise daily and has a full service history (due a coolant service which I will get done prior to any sale).
The tax is due at the end of October and the MOT at the end of November. During my ownership, the only thing I've done is replaced all 4 tyres (approx. 1500miles ago). Only (slight) modification is the black grille although I do still have the originals if the buyer prefers.
There is a full service history (Dealer up to 60k, Indy specialist since) with the last full service being carried out at 104k miles.
The car drives terrifically, with a lovely balanced response in the corners (of course!). Most of my miles are on the motorway where I'm returning about 47mpg. I always let it warm up properly before going over 2,000rpm and equally let the turbo cool before turning off.
The paint work is in good condition with the odd mark here and there – consistent with the age of the car. Inside is in good condition with the genuine Alpina mats etc all present and correct. Although I'm far from being a detailer, I do enjoy spending a bit of time cleaning her. I've only ever used Dodo Juice products and she’s currently coated in a layer of Dodo Juice Supernatural wax which will be due for recoating soon.
The V5 is present and in my name. The owners manual/service booklets are also present. The car has 2 keys – although the emblem is missing from one of them. The warning triangle and 12V pump are present and correct in the boot.
The not so good bits:
The wheels are starting to look a little tired. There’s not so much in the way of kerbing (I can park!) and there are no cracks (checked when the tyres were changed) but there are patches of corrosion starting to appear on them.
The front splitter is showing its age a little with road rash. I'm in two minds with this kind of thing as I feel that by getting it blown over, it looks as though something else is being hidden so consequently I've left it.
I think I've been honest with the advert and hopefully I've not forgotten any important bits.
I am looking for £9,750 but will consider any genuine offers. Viewings welcome – I'm based just north of Lancaster.
Thanks for reading.
