Description
Up for sale is my 1998 BMW 318i Auto. I am the second owner and have owned this car since 2007; since my ownership the car has seen just over 100,000kms. I have bought a new car (VW Jetta) and need to free up my drive way.
The BMW is reliable for long trips (i.e. Geelong to Melbourne). The automatic gearbox, front suspension, cooling system and air conditioning unit have been replaced, so for the next owner I can't see any bills on major parts. The engine is in good working condition, there's no coolant in oil or oil in coolant. Car drives straight and overall not a bad car for its age and mileage.
A couple of things are not working on this car;
* ABS + ASC light on. This happened recently, sometimes it turns itself off after a while; I believe this is a roadworthy issue.
* Rear suspension worn. Can still drives well, but say when it's fully loaded, the wheel occasionally scratches the wheel arch.* Previous crash repair in 2008. The repair work was done properly by an Adelaide BMW indy, receipts available. The car has since covered 80k kms.
* Minor oil leak. Occasionally I see a drop on my driveway. - possibly RWC issue
* Rear Right Window Regulator bad. 2x replaced (Drivers front and RL).
* LHS dent (see photo) + Paint chips on bonnet, bumper and boot
Please note I'm not a mechanic, and I would still recommend you to look at my car prior to bidding; I have given as much info as I know. The car has no money owed, and all receipts since my ownership are available.
