Description
My car is sadly up for sale as I am looking for a change in direction and want to make a track prepared MK4 Golf (V6 4motion or possibly 1.8t)
The Spec:
Year: 51 plate (Feb 2002)
Engine: 3.0 litre
Transmission: auto
Colour: Topaz blue
Interior: Black leather
Mileage: approx 121900
Service history: pretty darn complete with mostly BMW dealership stamps
MOT: March or April 2016 (no advisories!!)
TAXED: yes, but obviously new buyer has to get their own now.
Mods:
Angel eyes
darkened headlight internals
black grilles (M-sport stripes now removed)
smoked indicators and repeaters
LED number plate lights
Boot lip spoiler
Wind deflector
Aux lead
19" CSL REPS with excellent condition tyres
Eibach pro front lowering springs (I have rears but not fitted)
Other points of interest:
Low mileage gearbox fitted in JAN 2015
Full electric heated seats with memory positions
BMW Sat Nav stereo
Full standard M sport body kit, plus sills and steering wheel etc.
New front brakes, newly refurbished caliper on drivers side front.
New front wishbones and bushes
Fully working electric roof.
Bad points:
Drivers leather seat has the usual holes on the edge but not too bad.
Leather really needs some dying to make it look much better.
Sometimes the radio doesn't work, I think its an aerial issue.
Drivers door doesn't open on the fob, but does on the key, needs a solenoid (cheap fix)
Air-con needs a re-charge.
A few minor marks around the car, but not bad condition at all considering its now 13 years old.
All of these bits are minor but I'm being 100% honest.
To sum up:
This is a great car, lazy if you want it to be, but quick in sport mode. The leather interior is nice and comfy, the stereo sounds good and the wind deflector does its job well.
With the stance and wheels it gets plenty of looks, but my passion for a track dedicated car has now become too strong to ignore, so I'm having to sell this to fund it.
I'm definitely going to miss this car!!
Remember its a little low, but fine on speed bumps with myself and my wife. You could always get standard front springs refitted if its an issue.
