Description
For your considerationWe are offering this 1999 BMW M3 Convertible.
The car came to us as part of a collection of 5 BMW's we purchased from the same owner. The guy was really into the M series and older TII's. This car is a good example of a true M series driver with much potential on what is the hottest up and coming BMW.
The car has an automatic transmission and the original born with M motor. Prior to our purchase, it had brand new BMW original equipment M series seat leather replacements professionally installed. The car also came with a new BMW top which we had installed this summer.
The car has recently had a BWM level one inspection done locally including the brakes freshened up and new speed rated tires There are no leaks, squeaks or rattles in the car and my son drove it much of the summer.
The body appears very straight and shows original paint NO rust anywhere top or bottom as so confirmed by the inspection. Please look over the pictures as you can see there are a few spots where it will need touched up.
The top is obviously brand new, as is the back window so there is no yellowing or cracks, rips or tears anywhere on it.
The interior shows very well. The seats are brand new. The carpet is excellent. No cracks in the dash. Note: Not original radio and glove box door is coming loose from backing in the corner. (reglued?) The interior is very decent and presentable.
The items I know the car will need are such The passenger air bag light came on after we replaced the battery. The top, though it goes up and down, will need the bands replaced that lift the trunk all the way while accuating the top (accessed by upholstery shop that replaced it). This can be helped manually and still functions open and closed. There is a slow draw (2 week) on the battery. We've not chased that, but assume it is from the aftermarket radio, the aftermarket alarm, or the led lights that have been installed.
I am not trying to knock the car, but hope the next potential buyer appreciates full disclosure as do I. If your handy with BMW's, your getting a great deal with minimal tinkering around. We simply don't have the time to bring everyone to the level they deserve and pass it along at a price that makes sense. The car was fully inspected and was told that it will need only minor items to bring it back to a hop in and drive coast to coast car. It is not that currently, so please assume the logical choice after purchase would be to ship the car if it's over a 200-400 mile trip. That just makes sense.
****As with all our sales, we ask you to please look the pictures over well. I take great pride in the cars we sell and represent, however, many, are usually 50 years or older, and they did not come out of a museum.
Ask for more pics if you want to see anything specific or for videos, when available, all PRIOR to the end of the sale.
