Description
This is your chance to own one of the last great naturally-aspirated V8 engines. I have made the difficult decision to sell this car because I am moving into a new home with outdoor parking and do not want to subject this vehicle the elements.
This M3 has approximately 54,200 miles and was ordered in the following configuration:
Silverstone II metallic paint, Anthracite "speed cloth" and Napa leather seats, Technology package, M Double-clutch transmission, 19" wheels, Heated front seats, Park distance control, iPod and USB adapter, Smartphone integration, BMW assist with Bluetooth, Satellite radio, Enhanced premium sound. I took delivery of this 2010 M3 at BMW's Welt delivery center in Munich, November 24, 2009. Since then, this car has seen less than 9,400 miles of average annual driving and has always been meticulously maintained, garaged, and washed. This car slipped under its custom Duststop cover in May for a two month rest while I was out of the country. All service is up to date with the exception of the break fluid flush which came due in July while I was abroad. This date-specified service is the only service due not performed on this car. I have all service records scanned and available to email for inspection to serious buyers and will provide the originals to the buyer.
Mechanically, I rate this car a 10/10. There are no leaks, no missing or broken parts, not so much as a burned out light bulb. This car is entirely stock mechanically with the exception of a K&N air filter. Start this F1-inspired engine and it sounds like a stock car, rough idling until the cats come up to temperature. Smash the accelerator and the 414 horsepower V8 rockets to the 8300 RPM redline, all the while making glorious induction sounds with each of the eight individual throttle bodies crying for more air. The 7-speed DSC transmission shifts perfectly in each of its 11 modes and the brakes bite like starved badger.
The interior is nearly perfect with the exception of some slight wear on the driver's seat left bolster caused by ingress and egress and some scratches on the steering wheel near the control buttons and on the driver's door. These are common wear items on a BMW of this vintage. The gauges, switchgear, and i-drive work like new. The air conditioning blows ice-cold and all sixteen (that's right, 16) loudspeakers sound crisp and clear.
The following parts have been replaced:
One shock absorber at 3875 miles, Muffler at 15,720 miles,Front "felt" outboard air dam pieces, Driver's side subwoofer at 20,529 miles. The car is on its third set of 19" summer tires. The Michelin Pilot Super Sports have deep tread in front and adequate tread in the rear. I have a a set of four 18" ASA Sport Edition wheels with Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D 235 40 tires mounted that I will sell separately for an additional $800. These tires have excellent tread depth and the wheels are unmarked and fitted with BMW roundels.
Cosmetically, I'm rating this car excellent. Overall, it looks great. As you can see in the photographs, the paint shines, the wheels are nearly perfect and the interior is excellent. The front facia and hood are fitted with a 3M clear bra. The body has never sustained anything other than minor dings and scratches with no sheet metal or bumper damage. I have had some dings and scratches professionally repaired and the paint is so well blended that the repair locations are not noticeable. I have also touched up some minor scratches/chips with BMW paint sticks. A dealer would likely put this car on the lot after only a superficial detail job. I have made detailed photographs of any minor rock chips and touched-up areas in the interest of full disclosure, these additional photographs available at
