Description
It’s come time to sell my beloved 2002 (52) E46 M3 in Titan Silver. I’ve owned this car for 3 years now and brought it up to a high standard. I searched for ages for this car as I am very fussy and wanted a specific spec. These cars have increased in value due to their declining availability. If you are in the market for a standard, unmodified future classic E46 M3 that’s had a no compromise life and has wanted for nothing then look no further. I am only selling as I have upgraded to an E92 M3, I was planning to keep the car as they are increasing in value but I need the money to put towards a new house.
It is a manual car (Much more reliable than the SMG) in Metallic Titan Silver with 80k miles on it. I work away from home so the mileage has been kept low and only really used at weekends. It has just had a complete front end re-spray which includes new BMW wings, re sprayed front bumper & bonnet and I also had the rear bumper re sprayed at a cost of over £1400. I replaced the wings because they were beginning to rust and rather than patch it up, which may have lasted a couple of months before it reappeared I replaced them, in doing this it was prudent to respray the bumper and bonnet to give it that new look. This was all done by a BMW approved professional bodyshop.
Only 2 months ago I had all four discs and pads changed at a cost of around £1000 along with 4 new Kuhmo Ecsta tyres at a cost of £600, its only done a few hundred miles since the new brakes/tyres. The car recently had an inspection 2 service and I replaced two new wishbones and new front and rear springs, all genuine BMW parts at a cost of over £2000. I have receipts for all work done and any parts I purchased. The car is faultless mechanically and will easily go on for another 80k. I have always used 98 Octane petrol as its burns cleaner and you get slightly better mpg, it has been washed and waxed almost weekly. The car has been checked for the rear sub frame cracking by John Clark's in Dundee when I bought the car and I can report it is not one of the affected chassis.
MOT is due 22/10/15, its only done a few thousand since the last MOT and there where no advisories. It has had the all-important BMW recall which solved the problem with the rod bearing shells. It has a full service history including the running in service, and has just had an oil service and new battery, the car is good for another 15k miles before next service.
The car comes fully loaded with almost all optional extras available at the time of ordering with the exception of the rear sun blind. The BMW factory optional extras are:
Automatic Sunroof
LED Rear Light Clusters
M3 Rear Lip Spoiler
Heated front seats
Optional 16:9 Sat Nav with MK4 DVD Player (In Boot)
Bluetooth Hands free connectivity
Harmon/Kardon speaker system (A must have!)
Rear parking sensors
Electric/Heated folding mirrors
19” Diamond Cut Forged Alloy Wheels
I have also installed the BMW Xcar link which allows you to connect your iPhone (Only iPhones) to the car so you can play music from your phone.
The list of standard equipment on these cars is huge. They have a high standard specification which includes automatic bi-xenon lights with auto level adjustment, automatic wipers, automatic dimming rear view mirror, DSC, four exhaust tailpipes, novollo leather upholstery, M body styling, dynamic throttle control, sports seats and suspension, titanium interior trim, tyre pressure control, wider rear track, cruise control, ABS, power steering, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), sports suspension, adjustable steering column, air micro filter, automatic air recirculation, car/key memory, a digital clock, electric front windows, front and rear courtesy lights, front and rear-seat head restraints, front sun visors with vanity mirrors, high-level third brake light, an on-board computer, rear centre armrest, seat height adjustment for front seats, service indicator, sports multi-function steering wheel, body coloured bumpers and side sills, clear indicator lenses, colour coded door and boot handles, front fog lamps, heated exterior mirrors and washer jets, driver and front passenger airbags, front side airbags, ITS head airbags, automatic seat-belt tensioners for front seats, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), immobiliser, ISOFIX child seat anchor points, lights-on warning, park distance control and remote alarm.
The only downside to the car is there is slight wear on the passenger seat bolster and a slight scuff on the left rear seat, nothing major and does not detract from the car.
The car honestly drives like new and pulls like it should, lovely rasp from the straight 6 engine and really is a joy to drive, a real head turner!
The car comes with a private plate included in the sale ‘M3 HFA’. The plate cost over £500. It really sets the car off I think.
Please call to arrange a viewing, any inspection welcome and you must be insured to test drive the car or if not I can drive. I’m open to sensible offers.
Price is negotiable @ £10,750
