Description
Listing our much beloved Mini One D as she has an engine issue and we are unable to justify the cost to fix but a good buy for a mechanic.
Good Bits: -
Condition all round is superb for a car its age. Polishes up nice inside and out.
1.4l diesel making it about as cheap to run as they come. Small capacity engine but not at all sluggish as you'd expect.
Full leather seats and heated front seats.
Comes with MOT up until March 2016.
Runs as sweet as you like. The engine really is impressive.
New water pump just fitted.
Bad Bits: -
Front passenger side corner panel missing. Only the small plastic trim not the whole panel so its easy to replace.
Few scratches here and there conducive to age.
Sun roof doesnt close without help (you have to help by pushing it closed)
Losing water pretty fast. Hence the new water pump but issue not resolved.
Cigarette lighter socket not working.
Basically we're getting rid due to the water issue. The history is that you need to refil the water / coolant every few days depending on use.
It must be either a partialy gone head gastet or a crack in the cylinder head. Not had a quote but worst case scenario is a cracked head.
A new head will run you £200 - 300 unless you can pick one up used from a breaker.
This car is a £3000 car without the above mentioned issues so is a great project for someone mechanical to make a few quid.
Or pick it up cheap get the work done and have yourself a great runaround or first car.
Very cheap to insure and tax.
