2017 BMW X5M – Heavily Upgraded with the best of the best.
Long Beach Blue Metallic Exterior over Silverstone (White) Interior. Very rare color combination.
49,XXX miles
Exterior Condition 9.5/10.0
Interior condition 9.5/10.0
Ok, here goes: I’ve already done everything that you would do to this X5M and used the very best parts and tuners to do it. It’s the 3rd X5M I’ve had and this is the second one I’ve built to the exact same specifications.
This truck spent its entire life in New Mexico and South Florida. No snow, no weather damage and is in excellent condition. I bought this particular truck after looking for this color combination and realizing it is basically a unicorn. Because I live in South Florida, it fits in nicely.
Standard Options:
· Carbon Interior Trim
· Apple Car Play
· Bang & Olufsen Sound System
· Heads Up Display
· Navigation
· All Power
· 21” M Spoke Standard Wheels (Included in sale if you hit price bar).
· I think the only option this build does not have is rear seat entertainment.
After Market Upgrades
· Full RW Carbon Body Kit. Includes Front Spoiler, Side Skirts, Rear Diffuser. These parts are100% Carbon Fiber. I had the pieces painted because I don’t like the carbon fiber look. I had an additional brand-new Front Spoiler, painted and ready to be installed. I bought this extra spoiler based on the experience of damaging one in the past and having to live without one for months. Total Cost $2,975.00
· DPE 22” 3 Piece full Aluminum Wheels. These wheels are brushed aluminum centers and barrels with polished step lips. I had the centers painted body color to match the truck. They give a great look and are very staggered. They are in 99% out of 100% condition with a couple of tiny scuffs not worthy of addressing. I’ll include a tube of chrome polish in the sale – you’ll need it. Total cost: $8,000.00
· Lexani LX Thirty Tires with 90% tread. Installed about 4000 miles ago. Fronts: 295/30/22 Rears: 335/25/22. This is the biggest setup you can get under this truck without fabrication or risking rubbing. Total Cost: $1,300.00
· KW Coil V3 Coil overs. The very best suspension setup for this truck. Fully adjustable and rides smoother than stock. Right now, it’s set to about 60% of the total potential drop. I’ve learned from experience that this is the sweet spot of the perfect stance and no compromise on comfort. Handling is night and day from the stock setup. Total Cost: $2,985.00
· Akrapovic Full Exhaust with Carbon Tips: Opens up the flow and adds a deeper sound on low RPM and when valves are open and you get on it, it screams. Gear changes produce a loud crack from 1-4. Everyone has an opinion on the best aftermarket exhaust for an X5M, this is the best sounding, best looking and best quality one hands down. Total Cost $9,000
· Turner Motorsport Tune: I had a Dinan tune in my other build. Nothing wrong with the Dinan tunes, but the Turner tune is smoother and overall gives more power. I’ve known Will Turner and the motorsport race team for 20 years. They deliver the right power at the right safety and reliability. I didn’t Dyno the truck, but HP is 750+ and torque in a similar range. The difference in acceleration over stock is massively noticeable and with the open exhaust, you have a very very fast daily driver. Total Cost $2,950.
· Passport Installed F/R radar. Personally, I think these are useless. I’ve never used it as it was installed when I bought the truck, but it works fine. I’m guessing Total Cost $1,000.
· Weather Tech Floor Mats: Bought a full set of Weather Tech Floor Mats front, rear and cargo. No snow in Florida, but good for beach sand. Total Cost: $350.
· Custom Floor Mats: The OEM Floor mats are ugly, so I ordered a custom set with Blue Piping and the M Logo. They are OEM Quality and have really never been used since I use the Weather Tech set year round. Total Cost $195.
Other Work
· Brake Calipers were painted bright yellow because the BMW M blue is hideous and looked terrible against the blue truck. The M Logo decals were applied and then clear coated. Heat resistant paint and the logos are not going anywhere with 3 coats of clear over them. Stands up to pressure washing and brake dust.
· DPE Wheels were disassembled, painted body color and reassembled. Assembly bolts were left polished chrome to give more dimension to the wheels.
· Body kit was prepped, painted and hung. Did a 2nd front spoiler at the time just in case of a parking lot disaster.
· Labor for paint and body work Total Cost $5,200.
· Labor to install KW kit and dial it in, add tune, add exhaust Total Cost $3,200.
So, here’s the important part. A stock X5M same year and miles in a crappy color is going for $60K+. I’ve spent $36,000 on parts and labor. Those amounts together are $96,000. Nobody’s paying that so I’ve set my bar at $66,000. You hit that number, you get the truck plus the OEM wheels which have no damage and 95% tread left, the Weather Tech mats, and the extra front spoiler.
Some helpful information:
I’m selling the truck because I don’t need it. My new Urus just arrived and the BMW is now an extra car. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the BMW and it has been serviced regularly at BMW Sarasota. We have several exotic cars and can afford to maintain them properly. I’m a 51-year-old guy. Yes, I like to go fast, but I don’t abuse my vehicles, they are never raced or tracked. You can purchase this BMW knowing it was well cared for and everything is working properly and up to date.
I’m happy to arrange a PPI at your expense. The BMW dealer is 15 miles from my home.
Lastly, and because I’ve sold several expensive cars on eBay in the past:
· No, you can’t test drive without showing proof of funds and making a large deposit. For anyone qualified to buy, I’m happy to put you in the pilot seat.
· No, I don’t want whatever piece of crap you have in trade. I already own all of the cars I want.
Don't email with low ball offers - I don't need the money. Happy to sell the truck for a fair price (which incidentally is $66K). Otherwise, I'll just keep it.
Good luck bidding. This is a really special BMW.
