Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer this beautiful 1934 Buick Model 47 4-Door Sedan marketed on consignment with our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. Most of us have heard of the old saying “don't judge a book by its cover" and that's exactly what needs to be applied to this stock looking 1934 Buick. This car was a barn find by the current owner, who painstakingly restored it over a period of several years. The vehicle has been repainted in “Biscay Blue", a BMW color, and replated the trim, bumpers and other brightwork in fresh chrome. Factory style wheels were also restored and reinstated with black wall tires. Under the hood is a Chevrolet-sourced 350 CID V8 that replaced the old Buick “Nailhead" with more power and reliability tied to a rebuilt TH400 3-speed automatic transmission with shift kit. A Holley 650cfm 4-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock manifold, 4-core radiator with electric cooling fan and 100-amp alternator are just some of the highlights in the engine compartment. Exhaust headers with 2" steel pipes will help you garner attention everywhere you go as people wonder what's hiding beneath the surface. The beefy motor required upgrades to the running gear and that has been achieved through Heidt's Mustang II front suspension, front disc brakes and rack and pinion steering. Inside this 4-Door Sedan the stock interior has been replicated in Light Gray mohair-style fabric and a wood-grain dash with Buick gauges looks legitimate. It's what's hidden that we are really impressed with however: a SecretAudio unit with 10 disc changer is located in the header panel above the windshield, power window mechanisms operate using the factory chrome crank handles and an air conditioning unit is also integrated. This 1934 Buick Model 47 has the best of both worlds- a classic appearance that is universally appreciated with modern conveniences and upgrades that make this an enjoyable car to drive. [ omitted ].
