1987 Buick Grand National

87 Grand National with 62,500 miles
I’ve had this car for the last 22 years. It had 23,000 miles when purchased from the States. The car is in New Brunswick Canada - 2.5 hours from the Maine border and if sold Stateside, I will help out as best I can with exporting it back.

This Grand National is in excellent condition overall and a fun, very addictive car to drive. The original paint is deep and glossy. It has always been a bit of a garage queen / summer weekend cruiser and treated as a collector's item by a meticulous owner. It has always been garage kept since purchased, and started regularly when stored for the winter months.
The interior of the car is perfect – I was never a fan of aftermarket gauges stuck all over so I decided on a powerlogger that uses a USB connection when you need it. I’m selling because I have too many vehicles and sadly it makes sense to sell this one. I love the car but I’m not finding time for it anymore.
I slowly did a few tasteful performance upgrades over summer 2008 / 09. The original tranny was starting to slip in 2010 so I did an upgrade when it was replaced. Upgrades include:
• Dual Mufflers - 42lb injectors & adj. regulator - Walbro 340 fuel pump w/ proper wiring - customizable TurboTune chip - 3” downpipe & converter - RJC power plate - SMC alcohol injection (always ran methanol) - Extreme Automatics Stage 1 200-4R (with cooler) and 9.5” 2800 stall converter
• Boost is set at a conservative 20 lbs with the alky injection
• Dyno’d at 290 HP and ~ 370 ft/lbs torque
Other notes:
• 18” rims with 275 35 R18 rear and 245 40 18 up front
• The doors are tight and don’t sag when opened
• T tops seals redone in 2007
• posi rear end
• front frame braced installed
• sunshades for T tops to keep the heat down
• powerlogger installed on ECU, just plug a USB cable to laptop to view/record data for tuning or troubleshooting
• stereo includes Kenwood ipod / USB head unit, 4 upgraded front speakers, amp with 6x9 in rear, amp with enclosed 10” subs in trunk
• original wheels / tires included with centers and other original parts (air box with intake / fuel injectors, radio)
• US car that was imported to Canada, Car Proof report from this month is available, and old Carfax report from 2000
Issues:
• power antenna broken / slow leak from the real main seal, like every other GN :)
• Speedo needle is starting to buzz and jump a little
• some scuffing on the front ‘header’ panel in front of the hood, the finish on the deck lid spoiler is a bit faded
• on left side roof, small ‘outward’ dent, about 1" long (pictured)
• behind bottom of drivers door paint is chipped on very corner, 6"
• T tops were never a perfectly watertight design, but they fit nice and tight and don’t rattle or squeak
