Description
Here you go Daddy-Otime to comb back that pompadour haircut, grab your best girl in the poodle skirt and head to the sock hop, because the fabulous fifties are back !! What was cooler in the fifties than Elvis, Color-TV, and McDonalds hamburgersnot much except for a sweet looking ride. And you don't get much sweeter than a lead-sled. Thats right Kustoms are where its at !!
What we have here is a sweet old Buick just dying to get back on route 66 and show you what its like to cruise topless !!
This girl started out as the typical "grandma car" with only 81,000 miles, and super a straight body, a smooth ride and unfortunately 2 too many doors. That has all been fixed and she is now the prom queen of the car shows.
So what got her to the point that will have all your friends drooling and wanting to borrow her for the week ? Well those pesky rear doors were welded up and the roof went the way of the dinosaurs. All the surgery to the body was done right and she was then shot in the traditional hot-rod satin black to give her that sweet look. Custom touches such as the molded lake pipes, flipper hubcaps, dummy spots and shaved trunk lid all add to the flavor. But now your asking yourselves "wait, those aren't Buick tail lights"your right, they are not. Just to make sure everyone knows she is a Kustom, 1954 Chevy tail lights with Red Lee style bubble lenses were added for that way cool look. Turning your attention to the interior you will see that it has been recovered in a durable and classy grey tweed with 4' pleats on the seats and the door panels. With seats as big as most couches you could easily haul all your friends to the burger joint on friday nights.
This car runs great and floats down the roadjust took her on a 100 mile round trip and did 70 all the way on the interstate. No problems passing cars or staying with the flow of traffic. All the gauges and lights work and the straight eight purrs like a kitten.
So get behind that big wheel, scoot your Betty close to your side and head to the drive-in. Cause you all know Kustoms are cool !!
