Stunning example, fully loaded, immaculate.
If there ever was a production Riviera that best exemplifies the original Riviera concept by GM.s Chief stylist Bill Mitchell, this is the Car.
Code D "Silver Cloud" paint with matching Silver Leather Interior. This is the same color combination GM used for the Riviera prototypes and show circuit cars, such as the Silver Arrow.
Fully restored to stock specifications from a Very solid rust free Car.

This is one of the first generation Riviera's
Paint is in near perfect condition with virtually no flaws.
All panels match. Body is laser straight. Chrome is excellent all around with mirror-like finish on
bumpers and pit-free pot metal. Interior is near perfect including the wood panels, dash pad, headliner, etc.
Carpet is excellent although slight discoloring is present in some areas. NEW exact reproduction carpet will be included with the car.
Seats are gorgeous and exactly correct in every detail.
Mechanically this car is turn-key. Runs and drives like new.
Strong 401 nailhead with tight Dynaflow.
Upgraded MSD Pro Bullet Distributor/solid state ignition with all new wires.
New GT Radials 225/75R 15
Heavy duty sway bars front and rear. Perfect Stabilizing.
Car is otherwise stock and correct.
Complete frame off restoration was done.

Make no mistake, this car changed automotive history forever. In 1963 there was nothing remotely
like this on the road. It was a radical and daring departure from typical automobiles. Deeply sculptured front styling features dual ribbed pods patterned after the radiator grille of the LaSalle,
which was a GM brand phased out in 1940.
Rear styling is restrained and sleek, and carries a strong European influence.
The Riviera was originally commissioned as a Cadillac, and in fact was to be named LaSalle.
Buick Division lobbied strongly for the car to bolster weak sales, and successfully swayed management and was awarded this landmark car.
It is interesting to note that this was the car of the stars in the sixties. Frank Sinatra was photographed driving a first generation Riviera, and Leonard Nemoy, Star Trek's Spock owned one during the filing of the TV series.
Good, stock, quality first -generation Riviera's are getting more and more difficult to find. Even more difficult are those that have solid original bodies as this car does.
As well as all fully loaded factory options for that year.
A very scarce few remain in this incredible color combination. Silver/Silver1
