Description

The Buick Riviera was GM’s response to the popular Ford Thunderbird. Instantly recognized as a design classic, the original Riviera was Motor Trend magazine's 1963 Car of the Year. The svelte 117-inch wheelbase personal luxury coupe was a pet project of GM styling head William L. Mitchell
Along with the Corvette split-window coupe, I think everyone on earth could agree that this was the best-looking car of 1963. We won't wax rhapsodic about the beauty of Bill Mitchell's Riviera design except to say that it has withstood the test of time and still looks like a million bucks
Buick's legendary 401 cubic inch Nailhead V8 made 325 horsepower in the '63 Riviera, and with seemingly endless reserves of torque, it is a lot quicker than you'd think
The Riviera's interior was a styling tour-de-force, with bucket seats and a sweeping, low-profile dash trimmed in brushed metal instead of fake wood. The two-tone seats
in this car really set the interior off.
Straight solid car, body poannels fit well, floor pans and trunk are solid, 17 inch Boyd Coddington wheels with newer tires, engine runs strong Car was lowered by installing new springs and shocks, Seats were just completeed with great black and gray two tone. headliner, dash pad and package tray all in VG condition. Car was painted in 2000 shines well with some minor defects makes a great cruise night car. All glass is in great condition. This car gets a lot of attention driving and at shows.correct mileage is unknown speedo reads 4744
