Description

This car is being re-listed due to buyer nonpayment. Please do not bid unless you are a serious buyer.
I am selling my 1964 Buick Skylark Convertible (VIN #3K1221890) that has been in storage for a while. I purchased in Dec. 2009 and in 2015 had the motor rebuilt. Also, the car was painted silver in 2016 (Eastwood Hot Rod Silver, the car was originally alpine white) and the top was replaced (there are no rips in the top). I have a clear WI title for this car. The odometer reads 63,424 mile that I am sure is not original miles. Car should only be driven for short distances due to some of the issues below.
Motor & Drivetrain: The motor is a 300 V8 4 barrel carburetor that has less than 1,000 miles on it and runs great. The 2 speed automatic transmission seems to have shifting issues at times. No power steering or power brakes.
Body: The body was chemically stripped and areas that had rust were cut out and patches welded in. The body is very straight on this car. The badges and trim are in very good condition. There was also patching done in the floor of the car.
Interior: Both door panels, seat covers and carpet are newer. I had a floor counsel and bucket seats installed from a later Buick model (you could not get this in a 1964 Buick Skylark at the time).
This car presents very well in the photos, but has the following issues:
•The transmission has issues shifting a times and may require adjustment or repair.
•The bumpers and chrome wheels have some surface rust not detectible in the photos.
•The directional lights, brake lights and backup lights do not seem to work. Head lights and tail lights do work.
•The motor to raise and lower the top needs to be repaired or replaced. The top needs manual help to raise and lower.
•Due to sitting a long time the tires, brakes and front end should be looked at.
Please note that even though the pictures of the car are flattering, this is not a show car. Due to the repair issues and my need to sell this car before winter, I have set the reserve price low. This car is sold as-is and payment by check or wire. If by check, I will need one week before Buyer pick up. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the E-Bay listing at any time.
