Description

1970 Skylark convertible, 350 Auto, everything works well on this original survivor with only 88,000 original miles. Power top, power windows, PS, PB, AM radio. Beautiful to drive and the design makes for a surprisingly quiet ride with the top down. We have owned it for 10 years and 10,000 miles and have enjoyed driving it with almost zero problems, just one transmission leak (fixed) and a gas vapor (fixed), otherwise regular maintenance only. All receipts and records available including original BOS from Vancouver, Canada. We have kept it stored indoors over the winters and used it for occasional drives in the summer only.
1970 was a great year for these cars (Chevelle, Malibu, Beaumont, Acadian, 442, GTO, Cutlass) with the highest horsepower rating, minimal emissions equipment, fair mileage and good safety equipment. There are no modifications to the engine or drivetrain (original 350 2 bbl Rochester rated 260hp).
We are only selling as we have too many cars and projects and this one isn’t getting used enough, someone elses turn to enjoy.
Interior is in very good original condition, no rips or tears, all original material. The body is in very good condition overall, paint and finish looks great although its not new. Inside the trunk is beautiful, no signs of corrosion. The convertible top is nice, no rips or tears but some minor stitching coming loose. This is mainly due to having the top down almost all the time (except during winter storage). The tonneau cover (covers the top when its down) is in fair condition. There are a couple of marks that are not easily seen to be noted (see photos) including a small dent in the rear bumper, a small indent in the body behind the drivers side rear wheel and some evidence of corrosion where the top meets the windshield. All it all it is a beautiful driver, very little required if you really wanted to make this original numbers matching driver a show quality car.
I am not the original owner but believe it is all original and numbers matching other than the radio, which is an original Buick AM radio but a mismatch (see photos).
Happy to answer any questions. We are in Canada but can arrange shipping or drive to Kalispell, Montana for very little cost if required. For sale locally as well.
