@page p 1948 Buick Super Convertible. Complete restoration in 1980. All mechanicals including engine, transmission, rear end, brakes, and suspension have been rebuilt or replaced. Converted to 12 volts using '53 gauges, starter and generator parts. The car has a hydraulic power top, front windows, and seat. All have been rebuilt and work properly. Floors are original and solid. Body was stripped and repainted, interior and top replaced, chrome was replated.
That being said, the restoration was 40 years and 9,400 miles ago, so it is showing it's age. It still looks good, but the paint has some chips and of the chrome has lost it's luster.
Gas tank was cleaned and resealed with por-15 last year.
