Description
Extremely rare vehicle with only 1,931 cars built in this year. Original MSRP was over $60K.
This car has been in my family since 1998. Garage kept in Illinois until 2014. Kept outside with me in Asheville since then.
This car includes the option aluminum hard top which is in very good condition.
The soft top cover was replaced in the late 90's and is in good condition.
4.5 liter V8 engine rated at 200hp. Starts easy and runs strong and sounds great.
Less than 5,000 miles on new tires installed last year.
Body and interior was built in Italy by Pininfarina.
10 way leather Recaro seats.
Clean title. This car has never been in any moving accidents as far as I know.
Exterior condition is fair. No collision damage, but there is rust through damage in the rear wheel wells. Paint on the trunk lid is bad. Some of the chrome emblems are either missing or broken.
Interior condition is rough. Hard plastic around the seats is broken. There are numerous tears in the leather. The central driver information panel LCD is blacked out so you can't read it. Stereo only works on radio with the front speakers (back speakers, CD, and tape player don't work). The dash board near the windshield is warping. There are some stains on the carpeting. Passenger door won't lock. Driver's side window only goes down with help.
Mechanical issues: AC doesn't work. Heat is weak. There's a light on the dash that says "see driver information", but of course you can't read what it says. It's been on forever. I think it may say the AC doesn't work. Sometimes the "brake" light on the dash turns on, but the brakes work fine. The emergency brake doesn't work. The switch used to attach or detach the soft top from the windshield is intermittent. It's never completely failed to work, but sometimes you have to play with it and keep pressing it in order to get it to work. The car needs new front struts. Springs are OK, but the shocks are gone. Very drivable as is, but the ride is bouncy.
I expect a $1000 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of the winning bid after the action ends. Car must be paid for in full and picked up within 7 days of the end of the auction. Balance due can be paid by paypal, cash, or certified check.
I prefer if you or your delegate drive the car away. But I am happy to assist with coordinating a move by a third party.
