Description

If you are considering the 93 Cadillac Allante, you have most likely researched this model of car and know its illustrious history. You also should know the vehicle specs and standard equipment, if not from research, from other advertised sellers here on eBay. This car has no custom features other than described herein.
See photos for outward appearance --- I can provide other specific photos on request. If you are looking for a very clean and affordable 93 Allante, this just may be it! The car is fun to drive and an attention-getter!
I will share its personal history as best as I know it. I purchased the car in 2005 from an elderly gentlemen in South Florida; he purchased and registered it in Wisconsin and sold it to me with just over 27,000 miles. According to the seller, he was the original owner and the car had not been wrecked or structurally damaged. I obtained a CarFax which appeared to support his claim. He bought the car for his wife in 1993 who had since died. According to him, it had set up, garaged, undriven, for a number of years. As you may know, a car that is allowed to set up over a period time undriven develops deteriorating components and sediments. The security system had been disabled and did not work, and neither did the CD player.
Upon purchase, I immediately had the car detailed; the radiator flushed; the transmission oil changed; and battery, belts, hoses, and tires replaced with a thorough inspection performed by a Cadillac dealership service department and any needed repairs performed at that time. I had the security system replaced with an aftermarket one and also replaced the standard wheels with after-market American Cragar mags to give what I considered a more appealing appearance. (See photos; the original wheels are also available and included.) I also had the carpet replaced to more attractively match the seats and other interior burgundy colors (the original floor carpet was a clashing bright red).
Between 2005 and 2010, I drove the car occasionally on weekends just to keep its juices flowing, putting about 3,500 more miles on it during that time. In late 2010 the car became my everyday- driven vehicle with just over 52,000 on it now. I have regularly maintained the car (synthetic oils changes, etc.) including replacement of parts necessary due to age and wear [including muffler (giving it a throaty El Dorado sound); motor mount gaskets; AC compressor; radiator; stabilizer bar; among other repairs and replacements]. The Allante has been garage-kept accept when driven.
In all honesty, the car is not “Show Room” condition but it has been well-taken care of and in much better condition than most cars its age. Other than normal exterior scrapes and scratches (remember, the car is 21+ years old), the car has never been wrecked during my ownership. I have had very small dents and dings removed and cosmetic paint professionally applied when necessary. In October 2014, I had the seats recovered to original factory condition. The top is in very good condition but the weatherproofing rubber strips around the windows and doors are showing signs of aging wear and need replacing. With the exception of the CD player, the car is in very good mechanical condition. I continually get favorable comments and complements about its appearance, cleanliness, and condition from strangers who see the car and approach me in curiosity. To ease your mind, if you are a serious buyer and your interest remains, I will provide, upon request, in response to your specific concerns, a detailed description of any other defects I may have inadvertently missed herein.
I have done the best to describe the car as I have it. The car is in Las Vegas and very roadworthy (excellent opportunity to come to Vegas and take her home, killing 2 birds with one stone!) The tires have about 7,500 miles on them. As an investment, speculators give it high marks. If you are mechanically inclined and savvy, the car can be fund to tinker with. However, original equipment replacement parts are hard to find; I suggest the online Allante Shop in San Diego.
The price is competitive and I will consider only reasonable offers. My accepting price is very reasonable and below most other 93 Allantes advertised here on eBay, considering its mileage and condition. The sale is final with no implied or expressed warranty; an “As Is-Where Is” sale. Shipping is buyer’s responsibility. Email me with questions and I will provide honest responses. Thank you for your interest.
