Description
Used vehicle that I have owned for 46 years. Looks like I'll never be able to get it back in great shape so it's time to let someone else take charge of it. It has set a lot since the 1980's but has been driven about 1500 miles since then. Always been garaged and last seen rain or snow in the middle 70's. Still has original top which needs replacing along with the rear inside well that the top rests in. Several items not working at this time probably due to being stored so long. Air conditioning does not work properly. Compressor is not locked up but when trying to recharge about 12 years ago it would not hold. Suspect a leak in the inside condenser. Some of the functions no longer work correctly like defroster ect may be due to bad vacuum valves or stuck valves under dash. Radio and electric antenna does not appear to operate nor does the power seat, clock operate. The neutral safety switch is missing and jumpered out. This also affects the automatic emergency brake release and back up lights. No problems noted with the transmission. Front tires are new and rear tires are 5 to 6 years old with only a couple hundred miles on them. Have not pulled out the convertible boot but it will probably need the foam pads replaced. Car was last painted in the 70's with a lacquer and as pictured needs to be repainted. I have only found one small rust spot on the lower right front fender and and the only damage I know of is a dent in the passenger door. The black fender skirts are rust free and were purchase about 20 years ago, just never painted. I still have the original skirts which will be included that have some rust. Repair on them was started but never finished. The top does go up and down just fine and all the windows operate properly. Weather stripping is showing its age. There is an exhaust leak which I believe is at the header pipe and exhaust manifold on the passenger side. A new muffler was installed in the spring. I hope I have described this car as accurately as I can. I can be contacted if you would like to view it or have any other questions. It is fully drive-able and I have been using it a couple times a month to get groceries. It is now stored for the winter months. I really don't want to sell it but I have just gotten too old to finish it or put it back the way it was.
